Computer freeze without a clue...

Everytime i leave my computer overnight (to dl things, scan for virus or spyware/adware) my com would hang and freeze whenever it is idle for sometime...There isn't any error messenge and the screen would looks like when i leave it before i go to sleep...
I can move the mouse and the keyboard is functional, but ctrl+alt+delete, alt+f4, alt+tab and window+d all would not work... And when i press the on button of the cpu to shut it down, it did not response also...the only way is to hold the on button for a few second and shut it down... It doesn't happens in the afternoon..Only in the night...
This matter bothers me alot...And help would be appreciated greatly...

Could it be because there are some virus on your computer?
