Hello, yes, the big Laruku fan is finally posting here. Why is laruku my favorite band? Because they remind me of when rock used to be good and there weren't bands like Good Charlotte and Simple Plan, and Lord help us, Nickleback, ruining the airwaves. They remind me of the good old school rock that I grew up listening to (Queen, the Beatles, Meatloaf, etc.) Actually, they remind of the Beatles A LOT. Anyways.
The reason I posted here was to announce HYDE's SEASON'S CALL got #1 in the weeklies with 73, 669 units sold its first week (not as much as COUNTDOWN, which sold a abit over 100,000). Hikki's a close second with 70,147 units sold.
This actually marks HYDE's fourth #1 single. His others are: "evergreen", "HELLO", and of course, "COUNTDOWN". Congrats HYDE.  |

| hmm, to be honest, I'm not sure which single I like better. No doubt COUNTDOWN was good, but SEASON'S CALL has some charm...I don't know what. I like them both equally, but differently. No doubt SEASON'S CALL has the vocals. He should definitely show off his beautiful voice more, he doesn't really do that with his solo works. I especially enjoy the lyrics to this one, but his English pronunciation is a little below his standards this time around. No biggie, though, of course. I can still understand him. lol. His accent isn't like most JPop acts to begin with. |

And then again, some people think he looks quite feminine.... I was skeptical, but when i saw pictures from '92-'95, I understand why.... His haircut for the Heavenly tour....  |

hyde does have a very soft and smooth face, which is why he's so androgynous. Let's be real, he's beautiful as a guy AND a girl. That's why some people in JAPAN when Laruku first started out confused him for a girl because of his soft and pretty features that were accentuated by his long flowy hair. He was told once that he was pretty enough to be a female model, and it's true. It's just his genes. Hes gots some good genes, that one. I would love to pass for a pretty girl and a pretty guy at the same time. LMAO
I'm all for androgyne. Nowadays he does a lot to look masculine with his haircut and make-up and ultra cool ima steal his wardrobe clothes. Sometimes I see flashbacks of the early90 hyde (in appearance and behaviour), but he's getting old and sometimes when you see his wrinkles, yeah he looks like an older man that was pretty. I just credit the SEASON'S CALL PV to great make-up artists, good lighting, and his genes. |

COUNTDOWN is definitely one of the best hard rock songs I've heard in a while, definitely one of HYDE's best. It's just so catchy and unbelievably amazing. However, Season's Call is growing on me. It's obviously and totally not a hard rock mega song like COUNTDOWN but it's got that sort of relaxing softer rock feel that I love, and HYDE does a great job with it. I can see why it didn't get as many sales as COUNTDOWN, but #1 on the charts is still great. GO HYDE! Woo. ^^
And yes his skin/face/everything is...amazing. o_O |

hyde is the male kumi
don't get me wrong, I love the man and l'arc en ciel but he uses sex appeal to sell the same way kumi does.
