Yes, she is lip-syncing, I think she wouldn't want to stuff up in front of so many peoplem plus she is dancing as well ....
Jolin's not bad, although I just don't understand her popularity, her singing voice is quite ordinary.... the only credit I'll give her is that she can dance really well!!! |

what? really? i think jolin's dancing is horrible. i mean, just look at 'Kan Wo Qi Shi Er Bian' and 'Love Love Love'. the dancing is horribly stiff. my friend who dances hip-hop looked at it and was like, 'this girl can't dance for beans'. then again, i've never really liked jolin, except for 'Shuo Ai Ni' (love that song ) and 'Hai Lang Zhi Xin' (because it's disney...)
as for rainie, i still love Li Xiang Qing Ren, but Ai Mei.... graaaaaaaaaaahhh. i'm soooooooo sick of that song. it's too frickin' depressing. i used to be obsessed with it, but now it's like, GET AWAY! |

Well, I don't think she is that stiff all that time... did you watch that performance two posts ago? I've hardly ever seen any other artists have rhythmic gymnastics in their choreography, maybe Madonna but that's all I can think of...
She isn't a natural dancer, meaning she needs someone to teach her dance moves and stuff, but I think she is definitely one of the better dancers once she learns it.... But my favourite chinese singer/dancer is Elva, she is natural. |

| I think Janice is not bad~ She knows how to sing. Hehe, I like a few songs of hers. She did a lot of covers of other people's songs. That's how she got noticed I think. o.o; She's kind of cheap though... She does EVERYTHING for super cheap pay, that's why she always appear on shows and stuff, she doesn't even ask for expensive pay like other artists. She even once said she'd do anything to get publicity and asks for nothing. o_O; |

Didn't know there was a CPOP thread here....
I like canto more than mando cos i can speak canto. Most of my fav chinese artists are from HK like Joey, Eason and Leo. I like some of Fiona's and Miriam's songs. I used to like Twins, but lately, their songs start to annoy me. Occasionally, I listen to some mando, but it's usually Jay, Stefanie or Jolin.
Oh yeah, lately, my fav songs are Fiona's new song and the new EEG singer, Vincy and her debut song. |

I like Fiona as well~ I listen to Joey too, she's a really good singer. Fiona is okay, I listen to her when I'm in the mood for typical canto music hah. |

Slightly off-topic but not exactly, here's an MTV from an unknown guy (to me) but supposedly he's quite famous in Singapore. What's so special about this MTV is that the girl in this video is my ex-classmate! Well, I'm in the same class with her for 2 years, and yes it's one of the top classes in my high school.
Actually, quite a few Chinese celebrities used to study in my high school, such as Penny Dai who sang the theme song of "Meteor Garden". |

Haha I see... U're so lucky to have so many cute female celebrities studying at ur school! Anyway, JunYang (JY) is the runner-up for Project Superstar, a Chinese singing competition the equivalent of Singapore Idol. Many ppl said that he should proceed to the finals instead of Kelvin Chen Wei Lian, a blind but amazing ballad crooner.
Another interesting fact abt JY is that he's very good friends with JJ (Lin Jun Jie)! I think they're ex-classmates as well as being in the same singing school. He does sound a lot like JJ as well! That feminine nasal falsetto voice just seems common in both of them. |
