So this is the official NewS Thread.Here we can Talk about EVERYTHING about NewS but please dont go off topic!
Something about NewS:
NewS is a J-pop group from Johnnys Entertainment.
On September 2003 nine Johnny's Juniors were picked to form NewS.
On November 7 2003 there first album came out "NewS Nippon".
Now lets come to the members.
Members:
Yamashita Tomohisa (The leader and also my Favorite!)
Nishikido Ryo
Uchi Hiroki
Koyama Keiichiro
Masuda Takahisa
Kato Shigeaki
Tegoshi Yuya
Hironori Kusano
Nishikido Ryo and Uchi Hiroki are also members of Kanjani8

 So they're becoming really popular now? If so then it's a good idea to make this topic for those fans.
I'm not exactly a fan of any Johnnys Entertainment group at all, but I have seen NewS perform in the live recordings that my relatives in Japan sent me. At the time they were singing Kibou ~Yell~.
Compared to many other groups though, they were pretty good  !
My sister really loved their song though  ! |

I just recently got into NewS and the whole Johnny's thing. I LOVE Kibou ~Yell~ it is such a cute summery song.  My favorite is Masuda Takahisa. He has an adorable smile.  Too bad they're on hiatus now. |

anuway, my fave was kusano because he could dance and sing really well. too bad because of the rumor they're now on hiatus T^T i really miss kusano right now...

now i cant choose who's my fave [between ryotan and kusano] i like them all actually.
i think yamapi, ryotan, and kussa have good voices. too bad i didnt really like daite senorita...i dont know why, i like the b-sides more o.O |

| I like Massu because he was my friend's favorite and now I like him too, after gachibaka. I never really like Yamashita so much. I think Massu is better at acting, just that he smiles in sad scenes (haha). And I really didn't like how on every CD and photo shoot Yamashita was HUGE on the cover and Massu was always in the back. That is why I never liked NewS that much. (or not as much as Kanjani8) |

LOVE NEWS!! not because my dearest yamapi is the leader...but thats actually the first reason why I like NEWS. but then after I got to know the group a bit more by interviews and lives, I find them a really energetic group!!
Love all their songs, I was so sad when all their activities had to be stopped till the end of the year~ 
I will wait eagerly for them to come back!!!~  |

The NewS ABAKE! thing is really adorable. The one where the microphone masks the members voices with really high pitched cute ones. Ahhh~ Thats so adorable
Massu: "Chotto matte kudasai yoooo!"
Haha and Koyama wouldnt stop talking. I like it when Kusano is doing the "put your hands up in the air" rap and you can hear Koyama [or someone] following up with the rest of the song.
I got 3 new people into NewS with that clip.

I love NewS! My favourite member is Kusano <3 And my fav songs are.. Kibou ~Yell~, Cherish and TEPPEN. ^^

i think yamapi is overrated...that's why i didnt like him at first. but he's okay now. i like him because of his attitude... |

| Well, I didn't really like Yamashita as best one, he was o.k. He is good at singing, but I don't think he completely is better than all of the other members. I think if the others looked like him and were able to attract fans not with talent but with how they look like he could, they would all be in the front, which is partly why I don't like JPop so much as JRock. I didn't like Yamashita at first because I thought he would be another guy who couldn't sing at all but was just famous by his looks, but then he could sing, and he could write his own songs, so that is why I began to like him a bit more. But it still made me angry when it was like for photoshoots Massu could've been eliminated from it altogether with Tegoshi (I think it is him) and it wouldn't have made a difference to the picture. I guess it's kind of disappointing now that they're on pause especially after the other members were finally becoming famous. But I agree after watching Nobuta, some of the things he could do were only amazing. |

it's weird since a lot of ppl said that yamapi did awesome job in nobuta. wo produce. imo, it was awful... errr...
okay, i know that it wasnt easy to act like akira but still...i think they could've chose another actor...it's not that i dont like yamapi,,, |
