I found a coupon Omg what a discount. Would only cost about 2.50$ a month... That's shockingly cheap. Thanks kazfz for the tip. And yeah, it was the 97$ discount coupon... That is so awesome. Well I guess I don't need co.jp.. |

Actually .co.jp is for Japanese companies, I don't think there's a good reason for you to get that If possible, you should aim for top level domain (TLD) such as .com, .net, .org etc, with .com being the most popular and hence valuable in a sense. Also, I believe your website is targeted towards international users, having .co.jp kinda mislead people to think your site is made specially for Japanese users.
Anyway, if you really want it you can buy a domain via another company and use your Dreamhost account to host your site, all you need to do is to change the nameserver via the company that help you register your domain. |

Well I don't need to co.jp actually, but i was just thinking about that since my site will be in both japanese and english Thanks for the info eyn!! I have already made up the domain name (and checked from Dreamhost that it's available), and it's pretty much going to be a .com one
I was sad when I couldn't get a ---.livejournal.jp since my blog is fully in japanese |
