Most of you guys who visits this forum section must be interested in other J-Pop singers other than Ai, right? Do any of you realize that a community blog section has been added, and a link can be conveniently found beside the profile link under the forum banner?
Many reviews and biographies has been written by our awesome blog team members who are not only interested in Ai, but have deep knowledge about other J-Pop artist as well, especially the one that they enjoy. Sample music are available for newbies who hasn't tried any songs from those artist before, and comment section is available for you to voice your opinion about what you have read and heard.
I highly recommend you to take a look at the blog and if possible, leave your precious comment on those articles after reading. It will be appreciated if you can use your forum username on your comment, and do remember to put down a valid email address because it will be used for avatar displaying.
In order to have your desired avatar displayed beside your comment on the blog, you need to register an account at Gravatar (Globally Recognized Avatar). Your avatar will be rated upon succesful upload and you will be notified via email when it is done. Your identity is recognized according to your email, so use one single email (the one you regsiter at gravatar) for all your blog comments such that gravatar will work for you.
Do you feel like writing about the artist you enjoy? Want to let more people know about them while they are still unpopular? Write an article or review of their singles or albums and send me the draft, quality material will definitely get posted.
If you have questions or suggestion for the blog system, just voice them here. |

Hehe....
I just took the time to do some extensive reading today in the blog.. and...
I learned a lot through it. I have always wanted to write for it, but I'm worried about whether or not I know how to upload correctly, like the videos with the nifty "Click here to play" thing or the songs - same old, same old me (why do I get so tangled in simple things that everyone knows how to do, and I haven't the slightest clue? Yes, you all know that Celsius knows absolutely nothing about technical stuff since he is really new to computers. I don't even know if this is an issue of knowing technology either, mattaku). This makes me unqualified, does it not?
But then again....
Is it supposed to be self-explanatory? I will plan on joining, details will come later. |

| Well, I would like to help out, but, my JPop obsession ends after a few artists, I could go on for pages about visual rock, though, so if you guys ever decide on that I can help. |

^^ Well there is a section for J-Rock here if this is what you are talking about, so I'm sure it'll do. As for myself...
I'm a bit indecisive about who I would work on since my knowledge isn't really focused thoroughly on a specific artist or group, but I'm sure I could do a lot of research to obtain such information, right? As stated, it's a good opportunity for authors to gain knowledge about their subject. But the blog authors all seem to have preferences....
I'm not officially going through with this until I send a PM, I'm still indecisive. I read as much as I could about being a part of the community blog, but I'm worried about uploading media. |

Ha, this thread has been dead for almost half a century, thanks for bringing it back! Well, we've been gaining some new members ever since the initial recruiting, take a look at the blog writers page to know who has joined since then.
There might have been some confusion and wild guessing about how the blog works behind the scene, so maybe I should clarify some of this. First of all regarding Celsius005's question, no you don't have to be all tech savvy to write for the blog, leave it to me to pretify and techify your article. Most writer right now doesn't know about the QuickTime stuff you might have seen in the blog, all you need is to upload the avi files to me and I'll do the magic, even if you don't have the avi, I might be able to get them myself from jpopsuki or other sources.
Well, leave the technical things aside, you will still gain valuable knowledge about xhtml and other basic knowledge about FTP, RSS, podcasting etc. if you write for the blog and willing to learn about them. The bottomline about being a writer about the blog is a passion to write and ability to research for what you write for. Take a look at most articles in the blog and you'll see the effort each writer has put into their articles.
What's so encouraging about writing for the blog is exposure. You don't want to write someting nobody's going to read, you write because you want people to read them and hopefully appreciate your work. I've done my best to make our blog as search engine friendly as possible, it will only be matter of time, usually a few days up to a few weeks, before you article appearing as search engine results, many times we end up being on the first page. Here's some example search keywords: Frienger, JAM PUNCH Tour, 1 litre of tears, OLIVIA NANA, Sakura Gumi, Berryz Koubou, Best of KAT-TUN, YUI Good-bye days etc.
There's no limitation about the artist you can write about, as Celsius005 pointed out we have a JRock section, and also a Dorama section. Feel free to write for visual rock if you want to, just tell me if you are interested to be part of the blog.
I'm still looking for writers with a passion to share what they love. I truly believe you won't regret joining the blog team if you decide to spend a little time to make a difference in your life (well, at least now Google returns something that's actually written by you, brag to your friends about it! ). |

Thanks eyn! I'm somewhat reassured now.
Okay, I'm seriously considering to join the blog team, but I'll send in a rough draft of my work so you can test my worth. That will take a while, but there's no rush, right? I need to start studying some new artists now. |

| Well, I just went to look at it, and, well, definitely ZONE should be moved to JPop, they only have a few Pop Rock songs, and bandol is most close to pop music. Laruku I would move to JPop, too, since after I think 2003 or so they decided to start making pop music. Well, maybe once I find how this works I can help you guys with the JRock section. |

Well, I've been doing some thinking on what I may want to write about for the blog, and SMAP came to mind. They've been around for quite some time, so I'm sure I could write reviews of their songs, their most recent being Dear WOMAN.
I hope that SMAP poses as an interesting enough topic for readers to indulge themselves upon, and I will be sure to make it as appealing to readers as I can! Though, if their latest single came out in April of 2006, is it too late to start reviews on them? |

It's never too late to review a CD or DVD, I've yet to review LOVE JAM and LOVE COOK myself, so yeah, don't worry about it! Hopefully you can get the review done and we can work on it together to get it published. |

So if I want to write a review I just write it and then send it to you? I can try after I find how the format of writing goes. Do you review for the CD or for the artist?
(and nice layout.) |

Ooh yay! I'm glad to hear more people want to join!
If you take a look at my articles you'll notice that most of my articles are on inactive groups, haha! XD So there's definitely nothing wrong with that. I actually think it's good, because new fans might not know about the group you're talking about, and nobody else has probably reviewed it (atleast not recently).
Oh, tsumetai.ame, you can review anything you want: a CD, a single, a PV (though this hasn't happened yet, surely it's possible), a tour, the artist in general, really anything! Most of mine are biographies + reviewing their discography. eyn has even said that we can just talk about our favorite members of the groups, favorite songs, really anything. It's totally free. ^^ |
