I don't know which is my favourite, I have watched quite a lot of movies so far but it's hard for me to choose which one I like the most. I'm not sure about you guys.
Recently I watched "Million Dollar Baby", I think the story is very very cool and sad at the same time. It's very emotional and I like the way they bring out the story of the girl and her trainer. If you haven't watched this movie, go find it and watch! It's not those type of movie that gives you visual pleasure, but a movie that will bring out the emotion within you.
Back to topic, I can't really say which movie is my favourite but I like a few of them more than others. Schindler's List (Steven Spielberg's best movie), Fight Club, A Beautiful Mind, Jet Li's Hero, Finding Nemo etc.
Regarding genre, I like all of them but I usually watch sci-fi movie in cinema and leave those emotional drama for DVDs, or download from the web. |

Well, there's like a bunch of movies I like, to name some: Indiana Jones, Gladiator, and Dude Where's My Car?.
As for Japanese movies, I like Battle Royale I and II. For those of you who haven't heard of it, rent it. Although I advise kids 16 and older should watch it becuase it is pretty gorey.
Well, my favorite genre would probably be Sci-fi also .(I can't wait for that new Doom movie starring The Rock!) |

i love a lot of movies! Genre doesn't really matter to me, i watch any kind. It all depends if (1)the story is good, (2)the characters are interesting, (3)it should have great cinematography and (4)if it is well acted.
any movie that fulfills at least 3 out of 4 of those what i said is good enough (to be one of my favorites).
as of the moment, my favorite movie would be Wong Kar Wai's "In the Mood For Love"
It has a simple story, but its not really what makes the movie great. Its the characters and the acting that blows me away. Maggie Cheung Man Yuk and Tony Leung Chiu Wai deliver one their best perfomances ever.
Cinematography is also great here. It really sets the mood for each scene. Oh, and the use of the camera angles here is genius! It actually makes sense, and is related to what is going on onscreen.
For those who haven't watched "In The Mood For Love" yet, i recommend that you watch it! Its a masterpiece. A little bit of advice though, if you're to watch this, make sure you're not tired or sleepy because your full attention is needed if you're to notice some details (like the style of the "progression" of the camera angles) in the movie. |

| I'm a huge movie fan, may it be Holywood films or Asian Films. I don't have a personal favorite genre since I like different kinds of movies depending on my mood. But my top favorite genres would have to be romance/romantic comedies and action-adventures. My favorite movies would have to be Il Mare, a Korean romantic film, Infernal Affairs 2, a Hong Kong action film, and Battle Royale. These are the films where after numerous times watching them, I still don't get bored. My taste in Holywood films changes a lot since I'm quite easy to please. I love the films I've seen recently such as War of the Worlds, Batman Begins, Mr & Mrs Smith, Madagascar and Star Wars Episode 3 and I can't say which of these is my favorite. |
