I see, thanks for the clarification guys. Well then Kaoru Amane can be included in the list then.  But she should be higher in the list? 
Ai is adorable, so i guess it's not strange for her to be picked as number 1. But i somehow doesn't feel proud or anything from a chart like this.  |

It doesn't really matter if the girl is cute or hot. I'd take both if she was them either way. But I prefer cute, cos it matches her personality. She's a very sweet and cute girl.  Don't get me wrong.  |

I didn't read the report all that carefully, but here's what I got out of it.
It says Ai is the person (actually says "talent", which basically means singer) who people "want to go watch the fireworks festival with in the summer", and also "unmistakably, the #1 person that boys want to go on a date with." One 24 year old guy said he likes her cause "she's cute and her Osaka-ben [dialect] is good", and another one (27) says "it would be really fun to be with her." Then it says it would be great to go to an amusement park or bowling alley with her.
(On a side note, I like the word they used for the other person coming with you on a date; literally translated it means "date opponent". So it's a contest is it? What are the rules, and what do I get if I win?) |

Oricon does all the funniest polls! I usually don't watch the polls, but since Ai-chin won it, I guess I should take note She totally deserves number one! She's too cute to miss! And I'm happy too that YUI and aiko won 2nd and 3rd place respectively, I love them both too! May ayaka make it up there one day!  |

You guys should know: for relationship in Japan, "cute" is very attractive and desirable! We say kawaii, this means "cute" as a deep characteristic of something or someone. If a person, she is child-like qualities! such as large eyes and smooth skin and attractive face, innocent look and sweet personality and voice, okay? and she creates feeling in men to protect her from harm. This of course is most important to Japanese women! If some man tells me "I will protect you," this indicates to me that he will marry with me! So Japanese women very much wish to be kawaii!

I do not believe the list of singers included the true kawaii singers in Japan. Otsuka and Yui, of course, they are kawaii. But this list must also include Aya Matsuura and Natsumi Abe, they are both kawaii! and Ai Takahashi. And Maiko Sakae and Mizuho Saito from former band ZONE, both kawaii! And of course new Korean Japanese singer Younha, and PUFFY girls Ami Onuki and Yumi Yoshimura, who are kawaii when they are cartoon characters! Okay, my opinion, like bellybutton, yes? everybody has. |

According to the ORICON STYLE poll (asking men between 11-49 years old), Ai Otsuka has placed no. 1 on "The female artist guys wanna have as a girlfriend".
Not only she was placed no.1 on "The person you wanna go to see the firework together" this summer, she is also the most datable girl among guys right now. The reason is that "She's cute and her Osaka accent's nice"(Tokyo/24yrs), It must be fun to spend time with her"(Kanagawa/27yrs). Certainly, she's small, cute and smiley. It must be fun to date with her at amusement park or play bowling with her.
Here is the list of the top 5 datables:
