Anyone here have read Eragon or Eldest or both??
Well, I love it .. what do you guys think??
comment by eyn: If you read the rules, topic with 1 or 2 lines of description is not allowed. A good topic is not just "I like xx, what you think", you should elaborate more about "why", and "what" is the book about. Try update this post with more info after you read this, okay? |

i have yet to read it, but it looks good!
even though it's unfair to judge a book
by it's cover, the cover caught my eye!

hmm. well, i'm sorry to say that i didn't like it. the plot isn't original. this is just my opinion, but it smacks of Tolkien plagiarism. plus it drags on. i've read both of them and they just didn't measure up for me...
*drops 2 cents in bucket*
oh and christopher paolini was 15 when he began work on eragon. also i heard there's a movie in the works. |

Eragon is coming out next month {movie} I'm so excited! It's my favourite book about a boy who finds a stone which actually is a dragon egg, & he ends up being a dragon rider. It's brilliant, & the fact that it's written by a 20 year old who first wrote it when he was 15 is even more genius! |

| Hmm. It would appear that smells are now contagious, because the movie stinks of plagiarism as well. (Sorry, it's just my LotR fanism acting up.) |

| I didn't like Eragon that much. Lord of the Rings was much better. And in Eragon, Arya wasn't very developed. She was sort of...perfect? I couldn't find any flaws with Arya. Arwen, on the other hand, I thought was pretty conflicted and three-dimensional. And I'm not too fond of Christopher Paolini's writing style. It was really straightforward. I'm a metaphor lover. So that's just my opinion, I really don't meant to offend anyone. |
