I'm still loving Koda Kumi today. But now, Ai's my number 1!! Kuu's made a lot of great songs, the new one I just heard is great! Love Ai is just as good as Kuu in my opinion and are at the same level, but Ai's still my 1! Love But someday, I'd like them to get along for once.

I don't think you can compare Ai's voice to Kuu's voice. They're two totally different styles. Kumi has a deeper RnB style voice and Ai has a sweet, childlike voice. In my book, there is no comparison. It all comes down to a matter of taste, not the artists themselves.

We have covers and more information!

Cherry Girl/Unmei Single:

CD ONLY

CD+DVD

The CD+DVD is a limited edition deal, and contains a special "movie sequence." (I'm assuming it's a clip of the movie "Oh-Oku" because Cherry Girl is the theme song for this movie.)

Both the CD ONLY and CD+DVD first press come with a sticker and an access code to a Koda Kumi special website.

Black Cherry Album:

CD ONLY

CD+DVD

CD+2DVD

Apparently amongst all of the first press goodies mentioned earlier, you get an access code to a secret Koda Kumi website, which you can use to enter to win special Black Cherry goods. This seems to be an incentive to buy the Cherry Girl/Unmei single, as you have to purchase that alongside of it to have a chance at winning the goods.

The "drama" is Kuu's first acting role as a main character and the drama was created/produced by the same team who produced "Busu no Hitomi ni Koishiteru," which is the drama for which "Koi no Tsubomi" was the themesong for.

Another interesting thing to note, is that the song "Milk Tea" is the first song that Kuu has composed that will be released.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, "When does she find time to sleep?" She's got so much stuff that she's putting out in such little time. Shocked

I do love the covers to the Black Cherry CD.

Can't disagree with you there, the pics look nice, a little sombre though - xxxHolic style (almost) but nice. A richer background would have helped a little though.

Black Cherry covers are perfect, but I am dissapointed with Cherry Girl / Unmei... *sigh* The cover looks messy, and the Unmei cover is a little bit too plain.. @.@; Kuu do more Koi no Tsubomi!! *tears in eyes* and secret too, please *tears*

But Kuu is the best artist ever. I like 10 artists, but since I discovered her, she has been the number one~

The songs for this album look really good, it has my faves in it:

# INTRODUCTION
# Get Up&Move!!
# 人魚姫
# 夢のうた
# 月と太陽
# Puppy
# 恋のつぼみ
# WON’T BE LONG ~Black Cherry Version~
# JUICY
# Candle Light
# Cherry Girl
# I’ll be there
# 運命
# With your smile
#ミルクティー
# Twinkle
# GO WAY!!
# WON’T BE LONG ~Red Cherry Version~

i have to say, i m expecting alot from this album. i dont like alot of her albums, maybe a few songs in them, but not the actualy album. the only one i liked was Secret.

now this already has a bunch i like so its already scoring points, but if milk tea and wont be long~Red cherry version~ are good i ll have to say this is one of her best albums yet! loooove it! (i know this post is a bit late)

The album doesn't have Futari de... which is a huge dissapointment, I like it many times better than Yume no Uta.. Luckily I have the single. The album willmost likely be one of her best ever, I don't like the covers that much though.. (>.>)

I read in Hone Flash that "Black Cherry" means... well something nasty. And something that no-one will write in here, Channel-Ai. I wonder if Kuu meant that.

And by seeing that preview of Cherry Girl DVD Movie, I think that it will be absolutely great. Kuu is kicking some bad-boy butt and doing other secret-agent stuff. Nod

I thought the drama preview looked awesome! I can't wait until a subbed version of it hits the internet. Kuu is seriously kicking some butt in this.

It kind of made me think of Coyote Ugly meets Charlie's Angels. Laughing

oh! i didnt notice ふたりで wasnt on the album. but i like 夢のうた better.
i must be like the only person who does.

くぅちゃん's recent work is getting better and better, if she keeps things like this i think she ll be a big threat to others.

Just to get this thread moving again.

Kumi is, for some odd reason, releasing yet another best of album soon. It's supposedly a limited edition album in commemoration of her anniversary or whatever, but I'm really confused as to what on earth they have left to PUT on another best of.

Quote:
Celebrate the sixth anniversary of Japan's hottest vocalist Kumi Koda with a brand new greatest hits collection featuring 14 of her greatest love songs plus one brand new track penned by Hideaki Tokunaga! Set also includes DVD with music videos for six of Kuchan's upper/dance tracks like "Juicy," "Hot Stuff feat. KM-MarkIT," "Selfish" (details subject to change), re-edited to feature only the dance scenes in the video." *Unless otherwise indicated, DVDs are region-2 encoded (Japan, Europe, and Middle East), and carry no subtitles.
Description from CDJapan.

She's also releasing a new double a-side single at the same time.

Quote:
First new single release from Kumi Koda for 2007 features a double-A side with the destructive, four-on-the-floor dance song "BUT" and love song "Aisho." Limited edition includes bonus DVD with music videos for both songs and making-of footage. *Unless otherwise indicated, DVDs are region-2 encoded (Japan, Europe, and Middle East), and carry no subtitles.
Description from CDJapan.

Both releases are out on March 14th.
