This is very nice for Otsuka, Kohaku is most famous music show in Japan. Even American Japanese people watch this show! my aunt and all her sisters watch on LA Japanese TV New Year Eve, always, because their mother likes to see this show. In LA this is tape show of course, Japan time zone is +17 for California!
P.S. White Team usually wins, at least twice as many times as Red Team. |

Refering to Arashiro's question, Ai did appeared at Best Artist 2006. I haven't watched it yet but I think she was at the show since her official's website did mention about it. I hope she had an excellent performance. |

Sometimes famous artists aren't listed not because they weren't good/famous enough for NHK to invite them, but because they decline their offers. I'm sure a band like ELT declined if they aren't on the list. I know L'Arc~en~Ciel started declining each year starting from a few years ago. Some artists may already have their own countdown events, I know ELT did last year. And the Johnny's for sure. Namie Amuro declined her invitation last year as well, and I assume as did Erika Sawajiri this year. |

it would be so cool, if namie amuro, yuna ito and younha came...but they're not
however I think there are better artists than on 56th kouhaku, because there were soooo many enkas....
I hope it's going to be great!
looking forward to ORANGE RANGE and I'm very excited how SEAMO's performance will be
and...angela aki!!!
it'll be awesome |

wow, I've never know about the competition between male and femal artists as red and white teams although I've watch some performance from the show. I've not have a chance to watch the full show but I guess I would be able to this year, the competition make me feel so excited for it. Either red team or white team wins is ok to me since I love artists of both teams, but I hope red team will win since they lost the last two year ^^.
I agree with bebe & orange_ka, it's shortcoming without talented artists like YUI, Yuna Ito, Kimura Kaera.
Looking forward to GAM, I hope they'll perform a Melody and Thanks medley, I love the two songs. It would be awesome if Kuu could perform songs from 4 hot wave, I love them a lot more than Umei. |
