| i was with RhninJa listening to Ayaka's new album when i flip through the news, and he stopped where i was reading and we read that article,. Ayaka's new songs really hit the box office and i think its gonna be the nexy big J-pop Diva in singapore! |

More and more fans i see.I am also late in celebrating her birthday on this thread.She will rise up to very popular,so don't worry.That's for sure  .Her albums can be found in singapore major music stores,but not her singles.That's quite sad to say for the reason i want to start collecting all her items.Maybe i will book it from cdjapan.Which is more expensive with the delivery charges too. |

"I Believe" is the #34 best-selling single of 2006, and "Mikazuki" is the #49 single of the year! Also, "First Message" is the #13 best-selling album of 2006!
ayaka has had an awesome year! What an amazing debut! |

"First Message" is still going strong!
oricon weekly ranks: #1, #2, #2, #5, #7, #11, #15, #16, [N/A], #4
last week, she was #4 on the weekly chart.
yesterday, she was #2 on the daily chart. looking good, in other words. 
i guess she must've impressed many with her performance on kouhaku.
plus, i saw that she won the 『エンタメ・オブ・ザ・イヤー』(entame of the year?)

| i heard a song from her from a local radio staion, and that song is not in her album! and i check that she is not releasing any new singles yet! y is that so? i'm pretty sure that wat i heard was from ayaka, even my sister could recognise her voice. Her voice is plain special, some michelle branch feel... opps, did i mentioned bout tat b4 over here? Hehe |

Maybe it was a song that she's sung on tour? Or perhaps a b-side to one of her singles? Have you heard all of those? Maybe you should try finding out what the playlist is at the radio station and see if you can find out what the song is.
She probably isn't releasing any singles at the moment because she really doesn't need to release anything yet. Her album is still charting strong and so is her last single. I would think she'd wait a bit before releasing something new. |

wow!!!!! so amazing!!! I've never seen an album goes up like that~~~!!! from #4 to #2?? it has been sometime since she released this album. THAT;S SO GREAT!!! GO! AYAKA!!!!!

it's true that she kinda reminds me of hikki, but that's only because their popularity. hikki and ayaka were both HUGE. their first album sold like crazy. what that's about it imo. i personally think that ayaka's voice is WAY more powerful and her voice is just beautiful. than hikki but i have to say hikki's songs are WAY better.
that's just my opinion
like both singers. [although i'm biased when it comes to hikki coz she's just my fave] |

well, you do seem to like hikki acording to your signature.  and comparing the two of them.... yeah, that's kinda interesting.
i think you're right that ayaka got a better voice. hearing hikki live can sometimes not be as good as you'd like it to be. unfortuneately.  but hikki's songs are without a doubt better imo too. though i'm no big fan of "first love" (i like "first message" better  ). her later stuff is way better.
now... comparing their sales of their debut album.... ayaka's "first message" has sold ~850,000 sofar and hikki's "first love" has sold 9,700,000.  quite big difference. but then again, "first love" was the most sold album in japanese history (is it still?  i guess so...). the thing with hikki was that she brought a whole new genre of music to japan (getting a HUGE crowd of fans that way), which i believe ( ) cannot be said about ayaka. |
