Calm down, yukarichan.
I was just pointing out the absolute worst-case scenario as a joke to illustrate the lame ineptitude of Hollywood remakes and the trend of wholly inappropriate casting choices just to capitalize on the popularity of certain 'actors.'
As horrifying as it is to think about, though, it can be a fun game:
Who would be the worst casting choices? Can you think of any others?
Of course they should have at least a bit of believeability, as in, not Walter Matthau or Abraham Lincoln for L (or MisaMisa, for that matter )... |

Hahaha, now that you mention it, I have this weird image of Lindsay Lohan with her hair like Misa. >_< At least she's got the skinny factor down pat. But the only good thing about the Hollywood remake would then be that they would hopefully find one with the same hair colour as Misa! I can't get over the fact that the Japanese version uses a black-haired Misa.
I won't really mind if they used Johny Depp as L though...He's quite a versatile actor, and I think he can do the mysterious part quite well. |

Haha, yes, the guys are absolute love! I prefer Ken'ichi any time, though. I hope you like the movie, Tatsuka! And good luck watching it in Japanese. I don't think there's any really funny technical terms or jargon, so you should be fine. (: |

what a simple ending ? i mena with that plot come on, show something interesting than just making Ryuku always doing his stupid face and ??? him [ spoilers !! ]
the 2nd is a lot better than the first one, simply the first one looks like a scam LOL. i mean once i watched the 2nd one i do think the first one is kinda pointless ......
3.5 - 4/5 - i dont think the movie is that great anyway. its just becos its a live action of a famous manga.
The big reason why i watched Death Note !!........ LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL omg im crazy over him, i thought there might be more movie on Death Note since there are a few more characters not being introduced, not gonna speak too much since the anime isnt there as well !!....... |

I watched this movie awhile back, and didn't like it that much...
It wasn't as good as the manga, or the anime series in my opinion. Raito/Light does not even look like the one in the manga or the anime...L on the other hand looks so much like L... That was one of the good parts of the movie
Well, I didn't like the movie that much, but if you haven't watched it...go have fun and watch it |

i think the anime brings out the situation alot better than the movie does. and what's with the twisted ending. it sucked imo the casting for light could of been better but L was nearly flawless. still waiting for a subbed version of Deathnote 2 T_T |

| I finally watched The Last Name yesterday! I was kinda disappointed, it didn't give me the excitement I felt while watching the first part of the movie. Somehow it lacked something. >_> Not sure what it is though. And the ending is seriously...weird. I didn't like how they handled some parts, like how they didn't really explain certain parts properly, and how some of the things that happened aren't really possible IMO. But oh well, it's good effort and I think the acting is relatively good. I like Kenichi much now and Toda Erika much much more too! <3 |

I like Kenichi a lot when watching the first one, still waiting to see "The Last Name". I always knew movies that used comics as the story wouldn't follow excatly to the plot. |

I really enjoyed the Death Note live action movie ^_^ Except for the girlfriend [Shiori] everything else seemed the same to the manga/anime [at least up to where I was - I don't remember Shiori being in the anime/manga o.O] It was good ~~~ ^_^
I just saw the 2nd movie, Death Note the Last Name yesterday, that was awesome too. A bit on the longer side, but the whole thing *nods* howeve,r not sure how it compares to the original storyline haven't gotten that far with the manga or the anime [anime isn't out yet and manga, I stopped at like vol. 4 >.< I should pick it up again] |

Well all i could say is well done man!!! All the three(anime, movie and comic) is nicely done, except for the book, there is abit of flaw.
Cause i felt tat after L die, and in the ltr part of the story Light became abit too scary, its kanne mad u noe thinking tat by killing ppl can achieve a better world.
For the anime seeing the way it develop, most likely it will be the same as the comic, so it shouldnt be tat bad.
And lastly for the movie, i felt tat the director had done a great job cause he manage to keep the story(spirit/idea) and at the same time there was enterainment value...
So thumbs up for all the three........ |
