Here's what I wrote in the rules:

Am I not clear or you still think it's okay to send someone your entry before the contest? Or maybe I should put it this way: is there a point of me making the poll anonymously if you can just randomly send anyone your contest entry?
With that said, do not show anyone your entry before the final result is announced. Don't risk disqualifying yourself, it's not worth it.
And for the "bias can't be helped" comment, it's quite irresponsible to say so. The whole point of the contest is finding the best karaoke entry, not a popularity contest. Everyone wants a fair contest so if you vote for someone just because you know whose entry it is and are closer to him/her, you're joining the evil force to destroy the fairness of this contest, and that's a big no no. |

I didn't mean that I would be biased...
I meant that some other people might, and the anonymous thing won't help that.
I'm voting for the best singer... it doesn't matter who that is.
My point was that we'll recognize people's voices from last year anyway. |

Hmm... I'm not as active as I'd like to be in this forum, but I'd really like to give this contest a try! Sounds like fun I'm glad it's anonymous...! |

Oh,I love karaoke! I would love to send an entry but I'm not sure about my merging vocal track with the instrumental track thing. I actually have no idea how to do it.
However, if I'm unable to send an entry, I'll be a voter then.
Looking forward to it! |

Hmm, I'm sure you will be able to find some helpful tutorials from google! That's how I'm planning to do it (yes, I haven't gotten round to recording my song! ) |

I have 2 so far, guess everyone is taking their time to prepare their best entry.

There's no requirement on how long you've been registered or how many post you need to have in order to take part, but it would be nice to at least introduce yourself in the Newbie Area and join in some of the Ai-chin discussion on the main board.
---
Here's an announcement regarding the contest. Due to some requests I will postpone the deadline to 26 January 2006 (1 extra week). Please take this as a bonus for you to have even more time to prepare your entry and I hope more people who initially think they can't make the 19th deadline can now participate in this event too.
Overall, this extension is to encourage more people to participate and hopefully the overall quality of entries can also be increased due to more time given for preparation. Those who already sent in their entries can always send me a newer version as long as it is before the deadline.
I'm looking forward for some awesome entries and I once again hope everyone have a great time participating! Good luck everyone! |

Thank you Eyn!
I was worried since I caught a cold (still kind of have it), and today was my math exams.
I'm glad that now I have more time. |

Thanks for extending this. Maybe I'll be able to participate now. I'm kind of nervous because my Japanese pronounciation is horrible, but this is all for fun, so I'm going to give it a try again. Last year wasn't too bad. It was kind of fun, actually. |

| Eyn doesn't like my contest entry! When I sent it in, he was like "BLAR BLAR BLAR YOU SHOULD BE SHOT FOR THIS CRIME." And then he told me to do it over...I feel sad ._. |

Regarding your slander above, let's have a look at the transcript of the PM:
Ha-Ha-Haru! wrote: From: Ha-Ha-Haru!

Subject: Moo!
I ORDER YOU TO SEND A PM REPLY TO ME THAT SAYS "GOOD LUCK" OR SOMETHING. eyn wrote: From: eyn

Subject: Re: Moo!
Okay cool, I got your entry sorry for not confirming that. Good luck on the contest, and if you somehow come out with a newer and better recording and decided to use that one, u can send me a newer version as long as it's before the deadline.
Thanks for taking part in the karaoke contest!
Whether you wrote the "BLAR BLAR BLAR YOU SHOULD BE SHOT FOR THIS CRIME." just for fun or for whatever reason, they highly resembles the attitude of the spammer that was banned earlier and create this bad atmosphere and wrong impressions for those who are planning to submit their entry. This is your last warning, do not attempt to create drama in this forum or you'll be sorry. |
