i just watched war of the world directed by steven spielberg and staring tom cruise and dakota fanning. it is such an entertaining movie. it is -kinda- predictable but it will still keep u on the edge of ur seat! the action and digital effects are great, but there were some unexplained stuff and errors in the story. after watching it, my heart hurt sooo badly though... <--- not a spoiler  watch it and u will understand y |

Ha, I was gonna post this topic  . Well, I haven't seen it yet but from what you said War of the Worlds isn't that great. Oh well, its probably because of Tom Cruise's scientology crusade that's probably hurting the film. |

| I just saw the movie this afternoon! I loved it... very entertaining. I agree it was VERY predictable... And I was scared sometimes ^^; The sound is HUGE! It was really good. A must see! |

no no no! it was a good movie, not bad! tom cruise's religion doesn't really affect the movie too.

I thought Dakota Fanning was sooo awesome. She made the stuff on screen really emotional and the impact was just mad. Aliens are 20zillion times more evil when scaring poor girls. The action and scale of disaster was awesome. Just the ending, prolifically anit-climaxing, was a big let down.
Watch it still, cause it's pretty damn good. |

| some of the people i know didn't like this film. I don't know why they didn't like it. I did. I liked it a lot. The special effects were good and it shows how people react to life-threatening, end-of-the-world situations really really well. Dakota Fanning is really good and she is the best child actress right now, and perhaps even better than other adult actresses/actors today. Ignore all the Tom Cruise news in the tabloids/showbiz magazines. Just watch this film for Steven Spielberg's direction. Good film... |

ive heard htis movie, my friend told me "If you love WAR movies liike, the patroit, the last samurai, This is a movie you definately CAN'T miss!" and it makes me wana watch it! as i love War movies.  |

Yeah must reali watch the movie !!its damn nice!!and exciting and one more thing its made by me lolx(my name is steven too)
i reali love this show i just watch it on monday(sg time)its like wow!!the computer grafic is so good and look real!But there some disgusting part too
the sound its reali great!!!!i love this show!tom cruise had is reali a good actor inside!Love it when he scold his children part lolx!
like the spraying of HUMAN blood which was being sucks out!anyway u ppl must reali catch it!gonna write until hee if write too long i may write the whole story lolx |

I wont say this is a best ever movie, maybe mainly becuz 2hrs is too short for this movie, the ending seems like a bit rush. I was so impressed with the computer graphics, i can't find a single clue that can claim those "special effect" were produced by computer.
Well, i am kinda love Dakota Fanning, she looks cute. 
By watching this movie, you can see the ugliest part of human when they were life threatened. Anyway, those who haven't watch this movie can try this movie too.(at least better than Initial D )
The background music were composed by John Williams, i used to play his songs when i was in secondary skool. Hope to get the soundtrack of this movie.(i mean download  ) |

you will learn to hate war when u begin ur stint with SAF! muahahahaha!
the movie was great but somehow i felt the ending was wrapped up abit too quickly for my liking.... the aliens just died without any in-depth explanation or whatsoever...... that was the disappointing part and if u were to study the movie in-depth, u wld find quite a no of flaws in it... still, IT WAS A GREAT MOVIE! |

I've watched this movie and indeed the special effects are awesome, but I'm kinda bothered with the storyline.
*Spoiler Warning*
I don't understand why those aliens want to exterminate human. They buried those machines way before we exist on this planet, but why let us grow and later destroy us, and why are they sucking blood out of human and spray them on the ground, and what are those red root type of thing growing all over the place after the blood was sprayed.
What happen to the alien's force field shield in the end? Why are they destroyed so easily? In the end they briefly talk about the micro organism, do they devour their force field?
One thing is stupid, at the beginning scene, the thunderstorm disabled every single electronic appliance in that area but later on you can see people taking photo and video, aren't those electronics as well? Stupid loophole...
I hope someone who has read the original book can offer some detail explanation here. |

For the reason that the alien been destroyed is mainly becuz the human' blood contained lotsa virus, which affect those stupid alien. So those aliens getting weaker day by day.

Yeah, i was discussing bout this with my fren in the theatre, we concluded that as a stupid joke of this movie. There is one more thing i can't accept, how can rachel's brother(i forgot his name) get home so easy?! |

| Didn't they explain in the beginning of hte movie y the aliens wanted to destroy the planet ---> cause they were jealous of sth (don't really remember). although i don't think they were jealous of the actually humans but probably that we have such a balanced planet since they already planted the machines there before we arrived |
