Thanks to short+simple, I'm getting my copy on Thursday.
I'm such a bad fan lately. I havent even seen this concert yet, and I haven't even seen the Tokyo Friends Movie which I have subtitled. I'm also so out of the loop with the latest Ai news. *sigh* |

| Yea...The concert is great..Although there isn't much costume wore during the whole concert. The live version of those ballads is brillant. I love them very much. |

I got this DVD in the mail a few weeks ago and I definitely think it was money well spent. It's rare for me to watch a DVD back to back, but with this one, I did.
This isn't as big budgeted as LOVE Jam or the LOVE Cook dvds but I guess that's why I liked it more. Well I have yet to see the LOVE Jam dvd but I would have to say that I like this over LOVE Cook99. It's close to being acoustic/unplugged but not really with a real band and extra musicians for various songs.
I was never a fan of Ai's faster/up-tempo songs till I watched this concert. The Smiley, Pretty Voice and Happy Days set was just perfect, especially Happy Days. Ai never used a megaphone for Happy Days in LOVE Cook but she did in this one and man what a world a of difference. And watching that live the first time was just crazy. Call me crazy, but I could almost feel the energy from the song (the energy from Ai, her band and the audience) ... it was almost as if I was at the concert (HA I wish). It was really cool how they were feeding their energy off each other to make that performance even more energized. And now if I see Happy Days live, it just won't be the same if Ai-chin isn't singing into a megaphone.
And I felt, her Amaenbo, Planetarium, Kingyo Hanabi, and Daisuki da yo set was just flawless. I actually feel that her performance (especially Daisuki da yo) surpassed the cd versions which is probably why I converted the audio to mp3 so I can listen to this concert over and over again.
Was it just me or did she get a bit teary eyed after singing Renai Shashin? That was a great performance too. I wish they didn't cut out Pocket, I would have loved to hear that song. And I would have forked over a lot of money to be at the concert to experience the whole thing in person ... maybe someday I'll go to one of her concerts.
Anyways, yea I think this is one of the best concert dvds I own, and will definitely go back to watch it later on when I get bored or something. I'd recommend it to anyone whom hasn't gotten it yet.
Oh before I forget, a question. During the MC between Daisuki da yo and Smiley, what was that thing flying around the stage? Was that a hummingbird? |

all right!! finally i watched this concert already.. yeah the only thing i notice is that.. Ai-chan only change his attire twice... *correct me guyz if im wrong* and it is an outdoor concert.. which is great.. i love outdoor concert.. and the concert venue is very secured.. looks like is in a park or something.. and you can see buildings in the background which is very nice.. about the song list.. 1 thing i didnt like.. they didnt play Frienger and Friends.. well atleast they have played some other songs that they didnt played in the last two concerts "Jam Punch, Love 99 Cook" but the part which i really like is Happy Days.. Ai-chan holding a what do you call that again?? hehe anyway that thing.. very very perfect.. overall.. great concert.. but on the 3 concert.. Love 99 Cook is still the best.. |

| I can't find the post, but I remember someone mentioning in this thread that the difference is that the TV didn't have the Encore songs. The DVD pretty much has the whole concert except for the unreleased song "Pocket" |

I did notice, watching both versions of "Sakuranbo" as an example (haven't checked the other songs), minor directorial differences. Like picking one shot instead of another or cutting at different times. |
