Psycho le Cemu
D'espairsRay
12012
X Japan
Dir en grey
Kishidan (Not sure if they'd be considerd VK but whatever)
Due le Quartz

Those are some of the ones I still listen to a whole lot.

i think plc is probably the best example of visual kei. But i think Nightmare is the best when it comes to visual kei and good music. Bands like Kaggara or whatever is just visual kei i don't like their music. But Nightmare is the best! SAKITO, NI~YA, HITSUGI!!!!!!

I had forgot about Nightmare. I used to really really be into them, but I still like them a lot. I need to find my CDs of them and listen to them again.

i love the solos in Nightmare. truely great!. I think Shian, Tokyo Shounen, and Varuna have the best solos i've every heard. I'm not really into their other songs. I mean anything that isn't a pv except for daisen boogie. I don't like that song. But i've heard some other songs that are on the cds and they're kinda boring. Oh except for be buried. Awesome song

Visual Kei is such a great stretch from current American Rock music. And then again not. Isn't that odd?

Visual Kei makes me happy XD;;. Some of my most favourite artists are all Visual Kei o___O;;.

Something along the lines of Janne Da Arc, Kagrra, Gazette, Miyavi, X Japan, Pierrot, Alice Nine, to name some.

Gazette <3! Aoi <3! Uruha <3! Alright, enough fangirling Giggle

I like her lolita gothic style and her music well many dont like i guess? but i like.

I have three Kazoku songs which include Rainy Girl & two songs which make up their Tousou Honnou ~Battle Soul~ : 01. Ukigumo & 02. Hito Shizuku, Hi to Shizuku

& i'd say their music is okay! I especially like the tracks from Tousou Honnou ~Battle Soul~, it's really beautiful! Though i like Ukigumo better, anyday! [/i]

Oh yeah!
I heard a little bit of Kazoku in the 8 months (I suck at counting...) I posted that (it's been so long!). Their vocalist does look a little bit like Shou (in a9), but I like Givuss a bit better than A9. Well, back to Kazoku, they sound pretty good but I listened to them a couple of months ago so I don't really remember it, maybe today I'll go try it again.

Haha, I don't think X-JAPAN started it. They may have helped with the foundation, but I'm sure there were small bands before that just didn't get popular.

By the way, if it is 20 year reunion, did they start in 1987? There are many bands before then! Do you know MALICE MIZER? they started in 91, but before that Mana was in three bands starting from when he was in highschool that were similar to "visual"! But even before then there are lots of little bands that adopted similar fashions. But I agree that X-JAPAN was the one that really made it popular.

I just got into J-Rock, so donīt know so many bands, but I really like The GazettE, Dir en Grey and Moi dix Mois. I think that VK style is really interesting way how to be different from other bands, and it doesnīt look bad at all, maybe a little bit strange when VK artists in demonic clothes and make-up sing slow rock ballads.
