| I have heard some of Shiina Ringo's music and i dont mind it, I think her voice is quite nice at times >_< I dont think it is so bad I would staple my face to a horse XD I really like La Salle De Bain, does she speak fluent english or did she just do the song in english for the heck of it? Her voice is very throaty and nasal but it sounds neat, she does it in such a way that it complements her! XD |

I was very excited about her new release of her solo stuffs.
i like karisome otome(DEATH JAZZ ver) but not to the extend of playing it every other song.
But when I saw the next song kono yo no kagiri, i was expecting a slow and mellow song something like keshou naoshi or some of her jazzy stuffs(but deep down i was wishing of cos for a rock ballad, cough..cough..gibusu..cough..tegami..cough).
But when i first saw the pv, it was definitely a shocker!
i didn't expect it to be so happy and catchy.
It reminds me a whole lot of kenka joutou but with less hate.
hahaha!
as in, it starts with her singing in japanese then followed by english.
Does anyone agrees with me tt the japanese parts ROCKS(as in sounds great!)?!
I just love this song too much, definitely a fan of it now.
Sakuran was great, Shiina Ringo really knows her english.
Her voice just sounds so good in it!
I'm really looking forward to her new album, especially her new songs!
hopefully it would not be all jazzy or orchestral kinda music, but with her current creations i doubt my wish would come true.
but still i believe that her songs would be of such great quality and complexity that i would be captivated and probably asked for more.
Gamble is one of the old release songs which i am very interested in, its from Zecchoushu which in my opinion is one of her released which is more to the heavy side of rock.
Whenever i listened to the songs on it, i would go "man, the songs are filled with so much attitude, I LOVE THEM!"
and one of my all time favourite songs by shiina ringo is in it, cough.cough..mellow..cough.
So i wonder how Gamble would sound like in her new released.
The preview clip on the Sakuran website is nice, real nice.
I just wish the days will go by faster to the day of the released.
i'm so excited and eager to see what kinda songs are instored for us.
shiina ringo please bring your rock goddess side back.
*dreams* |

Finally the album Heizei Fuzoku has been released.
As well the new Dai Ikkai Ringohan Taikai no Moyo dvd has seen it's daylight in public.
And the new album from ringo-sama debuted in it's first day in Oricon chart as number one!
Here's the link to the Oricon Chart Rank: Oricon Rank.
So the start seems very bright/clear congratulation's ringo!
I already have heard the new album and im loving it into the pits
and my Limited edition from Heizei Fuzoku as well Dai Ikkai Ringohan
Taikai no Moyo are coming towards my home They should be here in no
time. But well, time shows what year 2007 keeps in it's pocket's
with Tokyo Jihen..hope they release something around this year..... since the new year

Hahaha, congratulations to Shiina Ringo as well.
or should it be Shena Ringo?
heh heh..
It kinda shows how much pple believe in her music and just wants more of it.
Heisei Fuuzoku is great, but probably not something i would play non-stop.
The remakes don't really grabs my attention, to me they are just an album version of the Baishou Ecstacy live.
However i love Meisei and Yokushitsu!
Gamble is definitely one of my favourite tracks in the album, great way to open the album.
Love the opening, love her vocals.
Hatsukoi Shoujo is also one of my personal fav.
It just stands out from all her jazzy/orchestral works.
and that is what i would like to hear more of in other words a break from them.
Them as in all the jazzy remakes and orchestral stuffs.
if i could choose, i definitely love the KSK Kuki to HF Kuki.
Strange, but oiran is really nice.
I do not know, but the songs just grabs me.
Kinda disappointed with it, as i still wish for more rock tracks by shiina ringo.
Hopefully if Tokyo Jihen releases a 3rd album, it won't be so heavily jazz/orchestral influenced. |

I love oiran too, its totally something i never wouldn't expect from ringo.
*even when i know she is the ringo-mastermind*
But somehow she managed to work electronic music into orchestra arrangement
VERY NICE!
Have you heard/seen Tokyo Jihen's version from it/
from countdown japan,
totally nice! but wt** is wrong with the band, Hata has shaved his head bald!?!?
That was utterly true shock for me, i mean i liked his hair....specially the one on gunjoy biori pv.
Yokushitsu in HF is probably the best rendition from it.
The SS version was nice but i love the
tighter bass line here .And Shiina's creepy voice just ad's the mix in the pot.
Meisai is also one my fav on the cd,
it's different from the Baishou Ecstasy one and the KSK version 2. Shiina is here in his mode
I specially enjoy his maybe raw ..but then again pure voice..in this song.
And Neko Saito, with his violin he really stretches his violin to the limits.
^^^^ oh and tommykabby, I know
that song rocks! it was nice to hear the partly connection of la salle de bain. |

''Gotta agree, the melody is so classy and in the same way so touching...
Haha, i cant even count how many time's i been playing the song in replay.
Plus the song is in French in the beginning so it's always nice to hear her singing in
another language.
Well but anyway, i was going to review the new dvd dai ikkai no ringohan ...,
but i thought i pass it to later maybe?
but must say if you liked heizei Fuuzoku.
this dvd then is a must get, its totally orchestra and acoustic based
and this dvd wasn't going to be released at all in the first case so it's kinda lucky that
they sell it.
I specially liked the second part Hasegawa Kiyoshi x Maki x Shiina Ringo,
which is from the last night of the ringohan event,
Those who liked Shiina's voice in Keshou Naoshi/or in the Adult album...
you won't be disappointed here + plus it's fun to hear the songs played by just
guitar and both of them singing together alongside with maki the grand daughter
of hasegawa Kiyoshi who's playing the flute. It's very relaxing and touching |

hmm..
i watched the dvd yesterday night.
i gotta be honest, it was kinda boring.
though, i like kareha ~ kabukichou no joou.
hmm.. the rest of it just turn stale to me.
i didn't like ishiki and kuki.
i am more of the kuki in ksk and the kuki performance in the electric mole dvd.
but i like this rendition of dynamite.
and i love how shiina ringo seems to smile more often in this performance especially papaya mango.
and like tommykabby, i really like this song as well.
Yume no ato was also great, the amount of emotions she puts into it is amazing.
Sid no hakuchuumu, yes i love this song.
she seems lively during this one!
spinning round the rotating platform!
the 2nd part of the dvd was alright for me.
Hasegawa Kiyoshi's voice is really very nice and soothing.
No matter how much i love Gibusu, the performance reminded me of a funeral song.
i know tt gibusu is a very dark song, but omg..
The 2nd half was alright for me.. |

| I'm liking her song Yume No Ato. It has that nice sound just flows like the wind. It sort of reminds me a little of Ai's song Sensu, which I like too. Jazzy in a natural flowing way. I'm loving it. It makes me want to make my own music. |

| I just got her latest single and I especially like Konoyo no Kagiri. That song just got a "Broadway" feel to it. I'm glad she's back to releasing solo works. I can't wait to hear the album. |

Latest news to all 東京事変 fans:
Ms. Ringohime's official fanclub KRONEKODOW
on their May fanclub letter
has announced the new single release of Shiina Ringo & his band Tokyo jihen.
The release date will be July 11. and they are at the studio recording.
They will also hold a live house tour which will be held during October through to November 07.
Title and other details are not yet decided, but when they are they are sure posted in this thread!
I'm in tears and so happy, we can now only wait and *speculate' that when the new album
drops there been speculations that if a new album occurs it will possibly be August or September!
Since the new single is released so early.
And since they are releasing new material and holding a tour
that must mean that 刃田綴色 aka. [Hata Toshiki] has now been recovered fully from his accident last year. |

| I'm very happy that Tokyo Jihen is back to release new songs. I thought that Shiina will put her band on hold and focus again on her solo career. |

Ayane wrote: I thought that Shiina will put her band on hold and focus again on her solo career. Yeah, so did i secretly thought that too but she has/had a very busy schedule last year, this year seems very busy for her too. I mean she did work as a musical director for Mika Ninagawas movie Sakuran and composed about twenty song into it in just in a few short months, before that Tokyo Jihen's tour domestic tour going across japan... then ending the tour with a Just Cant Help it Tour....then working into her newest production Heizei Fuuzoku, kono Yo No Kagiri etc..
and then the dvd release from her fan club gig, and then promoting her new stuff even after the release almost two months, with various Japanese magazines and with the computer firm apple, and on yahoo's website and so on and on.
Then again a limited releases from the new cd.
And now she back in the studio recording some new songs doe's she ever sleep? thinking about it
doe's she ever question her limits as a human being?
i mean she's been releasing lots of stuff lately.
I hope she don't get a burn out! but it's her own choice
so if she enjoys not a problem and as a fan i'm not minding at all...it's nice to see her working so actively |
