LOVE MUSiC
Romaji:
kare ga asakara yaita pan wa
onaka sukaseta anoko egao ni suru
kanojyo ga sodateta hana wa
sakibokori egao wo purezento suru
anata no oto ni naru oto ni natte todoketai
anata no koe ni naru koe ni natte kono shi todokeru
kono sekai ga chiisana ai wo moraeta toki
itsuka ookina ai wo minna ni misetekureru
kyou wo ikita koto kitto
kaerenai 1 peeji ni natteru
takusan nagashita chini wa
kaerenai namida ga nagasareteru
anata no oto ni naru oto ni natte todoketai
anata no koe ni naru koe ni natte kono shi todokeru
dakiaeba donna ni tsurai kanashimi mo
itsuka hohoemi hanaseru toki ga kuru
jibun ni makete mata okubyou ni natte
nigeru no wa mou yameyou
kono sekai ga chiisana ai wo moraeta toki
itsuka ookina ai wo minna ni misetekureru
Translation:
the bread that he baked from the morning
puts a smile on that hungry girl
the flowers that she nurtured
fully bloom gifting a smile
I want to reach you through this sound that will become yours
I want to deliver this poem as a voice which will become yours
when this world receives a small bit of love
someday a great big love will be shown to everyone
the happenings of your existence today
becomes one unchangeable page
In the large amount of blood shed
pours forth immutable tears
I want to reach you through this sound that will become yours
I want to deliver this poem as a voice which will become yours
if we embrace, no matter how bitter the sadness
there'll be a time where we can talk about it with a smile
when you again become a coward from having lost to yourself
let's stop running away
when this world receives a small bit of love
someday a great big love will be shown to everyone
---
there were some parts in this where it was a real pain to translate into just one english phrase
other parts were pretty straightforward
two translations in one day is definitely not the norm for a lazy person like me. ;(

From what I gather from this song's lyrics it seems to be about world peace (among other things).
the first stanza about "bread that he baked" and "smiling girl" is sort of a circle of life thing; how everyone is dependent on another and things are intertwined.
After that, the blood shed and immutable tears are sort of like war, atrocities and the like and how it always leads to lots of tears for somebody.
"poem becoming your voice" and "sound that will become yours" seems to express the desire that she hopes the song's message will become something everyone can understand and "voice."
If we all show this sort of small love and understanding, it will someday become a big, worldy love.
the rest of the song just talks about having the courage in yourself and that even your existence is something important.
again, thats just my opinion. take from it what you want.^^ |

| Thanks for the lyrics! Just a little correction though-- you romanized "purezento" as "puresento." |

Im not really an active member... I think im one of those people that makes eyn-san angry... ^^;
I really love Ai-chin's music... the songs she wrote herself are so lively and expresses so many different aspects of life... happiness, sadness, love... you name it. Her songs really made me feel some kind of closeness with her... She has helped me through many situations in my life and I am really thankful for all the songs she wrote.
Anyways... back to the subject...
I never expect i would be translating songs... but as I hear this song and got a lil idea of what the song means, I have became more and more attatched to the song and want to make a translation and show it to everyone...
My japanese language skill is limited... so I may have some mistakes in the translation
Also, im not a native english speaker, so the wording might also come out a bit weird, but hopefully you guys will get the gist of it and maybe this translation can help someone in making a better one ^_^
Final note: I really really REALLY want to share this song to as many people possible, because this song is exactly what I wanted to express in my art but couldn't. And I was really surprised to find out that Ai-chin has done it! ^^ Anyways, enjoy..
The bread he baked from the morning
put a smile on that child who could be hungry
The flower she raised
was made a present with outblooming smile
*When it became your sound, it became a sound that I want to deliver
When it became your voice, it became a voice that I want to deliver with this song
**When I recieve small love in this world
I will show a great love to everyone someday
The things we lived through today
have surely became one unchangable page
The great amount of blood that was shed
was shed for the irreplacable tear
(repeat *)
If we hold on to eachother, no matter how bitter the sadness is
We will be able to talk with a smile again someday
When you became defeated and cowardly yet again
Quit running away
(repeat **)
[edit]
hm... my post was redirected... sorry I posted it in the wrong place ^^;
vlassko's translation was better i think... now I feel its pointless to have mine up xD
one question though..
”お腹すかせたあの子笑顔にする”
it says "あの子", I thought that gives no information in gender... how come its a girl in the translation? |

It's related to the line after:
onaka sukaseta anoko egao ni suru
kanojyo ga sodateta hana wa
in particular, "kanojyo". the whole song has a sort of circular dependency to it. one thing begets another; that thing then blossoms another thing.
thus,
a guy bakes bread that feeds a girl who then does something that blossoms a smile on another person.
hope that makes sense. |

lalala…
thank you!! |

Wow!! So many talented translators, but hope you are still interested to see Frost's english version, so spare me some time and just read through these lyrics and enjoy...
LOVE MUSIC
The bread that he baked in the morning
Placed a smile on that hungry child's face
The flower that she grew,
Sends out a smile
I am willing to become your voice, and use it to deliver
I am willing to become your voice and deliver this poem
In this world, there's a small piece of love
Someday it would be realised by the world and change into a huge love
Today's road that was walked
would become an unchanged path
Although blood was shed
But it was replaced by an irreplaceable tear
We just need to believe, then why need to suffer any more pain?
In the end, it would become a thing to laugh at for the future
Do not lose to yourself, do not give up
Don’t try to run away from things
In this world, there's a small piece of love
Someday it would be realised by the world and change into a huge love
Lalala…

Thanks for all the versions of this song's translation. Today I translated it into my language.
I'm amazed by Ai's deep thoughts, again and again. Guess that's why I love her
I think that the song's name 'LOVE MUSIC' may be a play of word (she likes it i guess), which can mean 'A music of love' and 'Ai's music' (as her name 'Ai' means love). How do you guys think about this? |
