Ami Suzuki's charm in acting

Ami is a distinct popular singer in Japan and also in South Korea. She visited South Korea for the first time as an "actress" lately.

On the 14th, Ami attended at the production concert at the South Korea-Japan collaboration drama exhibition in Seoul.

Concerning the changeover to the actress industry, Ami had appeared in a dorama a few years ago. However it was not her own decision and she felt rather insecure. However she took acting lessons last year. Immediately after beginning, she wanted to start work and was rather happy when she received an offer. She explains that now she wants to include her charm in acting completely.

Ami Suzuki said "I can now see that charm can be expressed in a similar manner not only as a singer but also as an actress. I want to continue progessing and keep doing it positively."

Ami "an actress" and an able producer -- a hallmark

On the March 14th, the South Korea-Japan collaboration drama exhibition was held in the city centre. The starring actress, Ami Suzuki and the producer attended.

Mr. Takuma is famous for having dealt with the movie "GTO". He belongs to the subsidiary of Fuji Television, and FCI (U.S. and New York) now.

Mr. Takuma, believes that the charm as an actor is also present within 99% of the singers. For this reason he approved of Ami by saying, "There was no problem. Her power of expression is satisfactory."

"マグノリアの花の下で" (Under the Magnolia flower) is due to be released through a small scale-theather, via DVD, Internet, ect in Japan.

Ami Suzuki starring decision, a matter of concern?

On March 14th at 10 am, at the press center of Seoul, a production concert was held for the upcoming drama. The director and producter attended. Ami Suzuki was also present.

Concerning the concept of this drama, the producer mentions "It's a love story set in New York of a South Korean man who learns how to play a violin on the stage and a Japanese woman who dreams to be a journalist." These young actors have being doing their best in New York.

Director Mori who takes charge of production told the journalists "since it has a story which anyone can sympathize with. It's about describing a future dream when being young, please look forward to completion."

The release will be both in Japanese and Korean. "Under the Magnolia flower" is due to be released through a small scale-theather, via DVD, Internet, ect in Japan. In South Korea it will be aired on television and released in DVD. They are also currently negotiating to release this drama in the U.S cable network with the Asia system.

her new album wasn't bad, just that there weren't many new songs....its basically her singles that motivated me in listening to it~

The early singles from the album were fairly good but the others really disappointed me. Too much filler songs around really bothered me since it sounded like avex just hurriedly recorded all the songs to get things done with.

Obviously Ami is too busy right now with her acting career to seriously bother about her singing one. In the end I wouldn't blame her much since the first two post ARTW singles were fairly good and they didn't sell that well. However it seems her musical career has suddenly gone downhill and it's been a while since we really got something powerful and which had a seriously good package.

that is true...she seems to be more into her acting career at the moment. I guess its good for ami, exploring in another field is always good. I haven't really seen ami act, so I'm pretty eager to see her act later on. then I guess taking a break from her singing career is not a bad decision...

Well right now I think it's a very postive choice. She has the looks and has some acting experience too. avex is willing to invest in her and I feel that she's getting a lot of lead roles which is excellent in itself. Who knows Ami might find acting more rewarding.
