I liked BoA's cute image
I dont like her image now
If she remained the kewl cute girl she was it would be kewlz
But she had to change to the current image.
Shes not not cute
Soooo i move to Ai!
I like feel the same, Expect, Be the One, NO.1, Every Heart and thats all i remember from the BoA days.
But shes a super smart person. Academically that is.
Her grades were supeeerr
But Ai's piano Rox
BoA's dancing rlz
But Ai can compose her kewl songs!
I used to go for hours watching all BoA MVs.
Seriously
Sit in front of comp and watch MVs of BoA...

lol, those online gamers will say "Get out of the basement!", or "You have no life, nerd!" when you kick their ass in online games such as Warcraft III, I get that all the time, it's funny.
Sitting in front of pc watching MV whole day isn't something I would do though. I bought BoA's DO THE SOUL album + DVD, and the DVD has like 17 songs? I don't know, I just skipped after watching like a few minutes each, unless the song is really good and she looks really cool in them, for example Merikuri, or the Love Bug mtv which she sang with m-flo.
Some of the BoA's PV (or most?) are really boring though, like keep dancing with no plot and stuff, I like Ai's PV way better, they have a theme behind the PV to convey the message of the song, not so much for BoA's PV if you ask me. |

Thats bcos i when i was a BoA fan a year ago... around this time or maybe a fews days ago of the month of June a year ago,
BoA hadnt evolved into the image she carries now.
Still the angelic cute beautiful person.
But since her evolution i cant help but go to Ai who is cuter!
BoA's MVs are watchable if u find dancing interesting.
Other than that you gotta be plain FANATIC Fanboy like ME!
lol
I kept going on about how kewl, kawaii, haxors and the list goes on
about Ai until my friend started to find Ai irritating a bit cos of me.
But he still likes Ai's songs alot cos theyre cool and rox and nice and talented and splendid and catchy and CUTE!!!! Kawaii and has nice plot and the music is also very nice to hear, such as the piano and all and the best part is her powerful cute voice which is able to sound mature when needed and she can go very high and low too!
Furthermore her hairstyle just totally fits the whole thing and i like her hair cos its messy and has the unkempt look and when she ties it up to look like some little girl(Sakuranbo) its just pure awesome! as in not awe striking but the other meaning more casually based.
okok i can prolly write an essay on this. Now u see why my friend reacts this way? |

BoA Makes Comeback with Powerful Image.
Singer BoA, who released her fifth album entitled "Girls On Top" on June 23, made a television comeback on June 26 with a completely new image featuring a layered hairstyle, heavy makeup and powerful dance.
At the preliminary recording of the live program, BoA performed her two new songs "Moto" and "Do You Love Me". When performing "Moto", she sported military attire and showed off dynamic dance moves with her hips, and in "Do You Love Me", she appeared with a more mature image wearing a white dress and a hat.
But the highlight of her performance was the title song of her new album, "Girls On Top". Donning a black vest and military boots a la Napoleon, BoA thrilled the audience by dancing on top of a male dancer's back. The singer said she was nervous when performing live in front of an audience after such a long time.
After the performance, BoA met with some 500 fans at a nearby park. She said she was impressed to see her fans present her crew with 250 servings of rice cake to commemorate her comeback.

BoA's Foray Into Dieting.
"There is not a diet out there that I have not tried within the last 3 years."
Top singer, BoA (19), has admitted that she has been dealing with a never-ending battle against fat.
On June 24th, in Cheong Dam Dong cafe of Seoul, BoA revealed, "Since I debuted with 'No.1,' there has yet to be a diet that I have not tried." With a somewhat sad facial expression, she added, " I did not eat much, and everything I ate turned into fat."
BoA has tried so many dieting methods in the 3 year duration from the release of her second album, "No. 1," in 2002 through the release of her 4th album, "My Name," in 2004, that she is exhausted.
BoA debuted at the age of 14, 5 years ago, in the year 2000. She declared, "At one point in time, I even underwent a crash diet, in which I only ate seaweed dipped in red pepper paste. When I got so sick of the seaweed, I drank an herbal beverage." She also expressed the difficulty she endured in following this diet.
She proclaimed, "No matter how much I dieted, I could not shed the extra weight. I had such difficulty losing the weight, that it came to the point where my recording company wanted the concept for my 3rd album, "Atlantis Princess", to be about being healthy."
BoA continued the interview with a happier facial expression. "When I was following these diets, my manager would refuse to buy me any food, and I resented him because of it." she joked. She also also revealed that, nowadays, she can eat more food and gain less.
BoA's 5th album, "Girls On Top," hit the shelves on the 23rd; she will be pursuing activites for this album in Korea until August.

BoA Expresses Her Wish to Try Her Hand in Acting.
Singer BoA has drawn significant attention by officially expressing her wish to try her skills at acting. In an interview on June 22, BoA said she would like to star on television if she receives a good offer. She also added that she has received many drama synopses recently for her to choose a role from, but people around her seem to be split on whether she should act or not.
BoA came into the spotlight recently for receiving an offer to star in a television drama based on the cartoon "Palace." The singer said all the roles that she has been offered so far were those of a tomboy, whereas she would like to play a "composed and tragic" person.
"I received an offer to try my hand in acting when I make inroads into China later, but for now I just want to devote my time to my fifth album," said BoA.
BoA's agency said the singer starred in the music video of her latest song, and took photos for the jacket of her fifth album, wearing a traditional Korean costume in order to show the entire Asian region that she is a Korean.
BoA's fifth album, entitled "Girls On Top" and released on June 23, will be sold to the entire Asian region through licensing. A short music video that was recently filmed in Gangwon Province and at the foot of Mt. Fuji in Japan as a prelude to her new album features aspects of the singer's past, present and future.

BoA's new image is...
I'm not sure about it. I don't like it as of now. Her image in Korea is just way too different from what she presents in Japan. I loved Do The Motion and its B-sides and i wish she just retained this image in her Korean album. But just like last year with My Name, She had a different image in Korea (My Name and Spark) and Japan (Quincy) so I hope her next single in August wouldn't follow the Korean image.
Nevertheless, I really love her new album. It's her best Korean album IMO. Very good tracks and the fillers are reduced to a low number, as compared to before where nearly half are what i would consider as fillers. My fave tracks are moto, If you were here, love can make a miracle, addiction and garden in the air(my fave of them all). |

i think boa has changed a lot.. i like her new album cept the eyeliner is too much, maybe shes changing cause shes like growing up more now..
i still like her though

I've never seen BoA as a "cute" person. I think she's cool and has attitude ^^ I love her songs even though I get tired of them easily hehe  She's a good singer/dancer and has tons of potential.

BoA, KangTa to Perform at Korea-China Beijing Super Concert
Top hallyu stars including BoA, Kang Ta, TVXQ and Chunsangjihee will perform at the 2005 Beijing Super Concert, marking the 2008 Beijing Olympics, on July 2 at 7 0 p.m. at the Bansan Olympic Park in Beijing.
The event will be organized by the Korea Foundation for Asian Culture Exchange, CCTV and the Beijing Olympics organizing committee, and is being sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Chinese Ministry of Culture. Aside from popular Korean and Chinese artists, the concert will also feature several famous actors and Olympic medal winners.
The Bangsan Olympic Park, which will host the concert, is the location where the remains of primitive inhabitants who lived in present-day Beijing 500,000 years ago were found. Currently, a theme park for the 2008 Olympic Games is under construction there. It is also where the Olympic torch will be kindled.
The 100-minute concert will be recorded and broadcast on CCTV’s Channel 1 under the auspices of Samsung Electronics. On July 2, one day prior to the concert, a press conference will be held at the Beijing Kempinski Hotel at 1:20 p.m.
"This event featuring the pop-cultures of Korea and China will be the largest of its kind. It will lay a foundation for promoting cultural and sports exchanges between the two countries, with the Beijing Olympics giving added momentum," said Shin Hyun-taek, director of the Korea Foundation for Asian Culture Exchange.

Reuters Call BoA "The Korean Britney Spears"
One of the world’s top 4 news agencies, Reuters, published an article on July 3 relating the success story of Korean pop star BoA, who is enjoying enormous popularity in both Korea and Japan.
Entitled “BoA Dances Past S. Korea-Japan Strife to Music Fame,” the article calls BoA “the Korean Britney Spears” and details her success as a musician in the two neighboring countries as well as features an interview with the artist herself.
The article explores BoA’s strong growth potential and the emergence of future great artists from Asia, where the music market is growing at a fast pace. It also points out that BoA contributes greatly to promoting cultural exchanges between Korea and Japan through the close ties of her fans in both countries.
Previously, BoA was featured in the influential French magazine “Le Monde” in 2002 and the famous British economic daily “The Financial Times” in 2002 and 2004.
