^^ It's a site for "beautiful people"...as in, for those who look good enough to be accepted into this club-like thingy. There was a big controversy on the news over it...but they're defense is that they allow anyone in...however...this is what it says on the joining page:

Your personal information will also influence your acceptance. To make your profile as attractive as possible you will be asked to fill out a few questions about yourself.
So...basically...it's a group of people being stuck on themselves, worshipping eachother, -n- making others feel bad if they don't look like plastic dolls. This is a sad thing...I think everyone is beautiful; God handmade us all...we're his creations; there's nothing more beautiful than that. Mankind try to put makeup on us all & tell us we need surgery if we still don't look good enough to them. I think people are truly most beautiful when they're natural.
Anyway, anyone wanna join me in my ranting? =P this world makes me so mad everytime I deeply think about it  |

haha, I'm sure I've seen shallower sites/people before. Well, that's reality, huh?

I would never join that site. Appearance is not an important thing on the boards. It's if you can follow the rules, make good friends and participate!  Well, I don't go browsing random stuff so I don't know much shallow sites. |

Okay, okay, so I'm joking. Really!
Sure it's superficial, but is that necessarily wrong? I'm sure a good number of us indulge in equally vacuous activities on occasion; well, I certainly do. Overall, I think it's important to find a balance between form and function. |

When you think that people cannot get stupider something like this pops up... Seriously who in their right minds would base their whole self-affirmation on online people (who nobody knows who the hell they are) to judge if they look good or not? Shows a huge pit where self esteem is supposed to be. Has it occurred to any of these that people can photoshop or fake a photo?
Anyhow, I think the best idea would be to ignore them and move on. Bet they're a load of narcissists with no personality and thinking they can pave their life just on their pretty looks. Snore. |
