Based on the manga series of the same name, Toda Erika plays an honest college student, Kanzaki Nao, who receives a hundred million dollars one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their hundred million dollars. At the end, the winner gets the hundred million and the loser is a hundred million dollars in debt. The next day, she receives notification that her opponent is her former teacher, Fujisawa Kazuo. She goes to him, seeking help, but ends up getting tricked into handing her money over. Desperate, she approaches the police for help, but they are unable to do anything. However, she is told of a mastermind swindler, Akiyama Shinichi, who is to be released from jail the next day. Desperate, she goes to him for help.
My opinion:
I watched the first two episodes of this drama, and I really liked it ^^
It's funny to see how they get the money of eachother, because they do things you don't expect.
It's hard to say something about it ..there are only three episodes now.
But I think it will be an interesting drama.
So far, it's very nice!!

Watched the first 2 episodes, the story itself is okay, and I believe the reason why they are shooting this dorama is because of the "Death Note" hype built up earlier with the release of the movie and anime. The story itself and the whole feel of the dorama are quite similar to "Death Note", especially Toda Erika, I think they picked her because of "Death Note" too. Overall, this dorama gives me a strong "Death Note" feel though the story itself isn't all that interesting to be honest.
With all that said I'll still chase this dorama though, it's not that bad. Personally I still think "Proposal Daisakusen" is the more original and interesting dorama this spring. |

Episode 3 is out with English subs now
You can find the torrents d-addicts.com
Aah, yes I watched Death Note too, and that's also the reason why I found this drama
I loved Death Note, so I searched for Erika Toda to see if she released more drama's/ movies like that.
And I found Liar Game ^^
I also think it quite similiar to Death Note too..
That's why I started watching it
Proposal Daisakusen..never heard of it..
Gonna look for it, thanks for the tip |

Well, it's not really the same, but I just had the feeling that it's quite similiar because of the story and Erika Toda plays in both

Nope, it's currently airing in Japan

My second favorite drama of the season (first being Proposal Daisakusen). I really enjoy this dorama, even though the music creeps me out. My main reason to watch this is Matsuda Shota. I really liked him in Hana Yori Dango. On the other hand, I don't really like Toda Erika, so I hope this dorama will make me like her more |

The story is pretty interesting, I like it so far, each episode is quite intense, I initially thought the game itself is pretty stupid but now the game has gone into a new stage and it is indeed pretty exciting. I'm looking forward to see how the 3 remaining players are going to vote in the next round. |
