Hmm...well, that's bigger than the store closest to me that sells Asian CDs! So I guess it's a decent size. I wish I could go there...
Oh yeah, about how much do the CDs there cost?
She can't answer you right now, she's in Japan for the next three weeks or so.
The Japanese book stores here are the only retail sources, and CD albums are usually about $35-$40 including excruciating California sales tax, singles are about $12-$15. It's a challenge, because the boxes are marked with the price in yen, based on the exchange rate for the day the book store actually received the CD, so you don't know how much you're going to pay till you pull out your wallet. On the bright side: the book stores have multiple purchase "clubs" and keep track of your purchases over time -- you can get discounts and free albums as you buy more and more. |

Oh really? Ok, well, thanks for the heads up!
And if you think California sales taxes are brutal, just come up to Washington! I think ours are the highest...but I'm not sure. I think they're like, 8% or something, but yeah, I really don't know.
I think the singles in the Kino I went to a while ago were more expensive than that... But the albums sound about right. I think I payed about 50 bucks for my Ai am BEST. |

Washington state sales tax is 6.5%, but each city in Washington has an additional 1%-2% local sales tax. California state sales tax is 8.25%, and Los Angeles County has an additional .5%. Oregon has no state sales tax.
Just for fun I called about the price of the latest Ai Otsuka album, and Asahi book store sells it for 4695 yen, which is about $38.75 plus $3.40 in sales tax, prices subject to change without notice and so on.
There's a moral here somewhere, but I'm not sure what it is. |

I recently became an Ai Otsuka fan after listening to this album! I love it! Now I have to get into her other works now.... My friend recommended this album to me and I'm VERY satisfied. Her ballads are what hit me most though. Sakuranbo is an addicting SONG!! No wonder why it charted for so long. I recently watched a performance of Planetarium at a concert she performed. I was touched! Also shocked me that she was playing the piano as well!
(Woah pretty comprehensive for my first post, but what the heck ) |

If you really can't access it by trying those instructions, then I guess you could just pop the disc into the DVD drive on your computer and select the file. |

| Meitantei L desu, you also need to do those steps during the skydiving intro, but if you cannot get that to work then look for the hidden clip (Babashi) on the DVD in file VIDEO_TS.VOB, from 0:11 to 2:33. |

Note: You have to do this during the opening scene with the guy sky-diving.
With your DVD remote control, Press Up x9, Right x9, Down x9 and Left x9. Then press "ENTER". The opening scene will then stop, and the hidden clip will start playing. Have fun!

" Caffeinated " wrote something wrong
it should be :
Press Up x9, Right x9, Down x9 and Left x9. Then press "ENTER".
remember Down before Left. |
