It'd be nice if there will be a second season. I know some fans out are hoping for a second season. I can see there be interest in a second season but it's hard to say if they will do a second season.
Anyways, marathon-ed through the last seven episodes of the series in a night and I was quite pleased with ending. It's be nice to see more though since I know there's more story left in the manga version. |

I really liked this drama. Both Ueno Juri and Tamaki Hiroshi were funny. Also Koide Keisuka as Masumi (the timpani player) was funny.
This drama had a lot of funny scenes.
*About a second season, I don't know if there will be a season two, knowing in the manga the story continues in another country. It's hard to say whether there will be a second season. Maybe a special is easier to film for the actors / actresses. |

just watched until episode 3.
since long time ago i don't know this is a live action of an anime. and yeah, this is really a live action, i sense a anime sensation in film dorama.
after finished watching, maybe i will show this dorama to my music friends, sure she will like it. |

haha this drama was absolutely genius !!!
actually in the beginning i was skeptical about watching this drama. i tend to fall easily for mushy romantic dramas but this drama was absolutely adorable. it was such a hilarous drama with all the anime like expressions.
you simply fall for chiaki within an instant and your heart reaches out to nodame because she's so loveable.
and why is endou yuya always the annoying kid in the dramas? hahaha |

it's because nodame cantabile runs on many hilarious gags...
and most japanese drama gags happen at least once per episode.
eg. himitsu no hanazono - there's a guy that always calls the main character gassan (her name is tsukiyama) due to the writing of the kanji : 月山 |

I'm watching the anime and it's hillarious!! Thanks conceptx for info and links. I'm dl-ing it...despite the fact that I nearly reach the internet limit for this month...
Hmm... and this is a good site where you can find thorough reviews of Nodame Cantabile, both the dorama and anime, plus the clips, OST, TV shows about this serie and of other Japanese series. It may help you take the decision whether or not to dl it....because...it is total.....8 gb...... hmm... memento |

This is the best dorama for the winter season (believe me, I watched quite a few ), if you haven't watch this, you better download it now and enjoy the laugh and wonderful music. I give this dorama 10/10, couldn't be any better really. The musical element of the show also give it a unique touch. |

I was not a big fan of Japanese doramas and Nodame Cantabile is the one I've watched after a long period. The impact of it was such that I began searching for other J-doramas to watch more. Unfortunately, all didn't leave such impression and I just can't help comparing them with Nodame Cantabile. This is the best dorama imo. Can't wait for the 2nd season!!
And Tamaki Hiroshi is just...... If you love this dorama watch Bistro Smap in which Tamaki-san and Ueno-san were guests. Tamaki is really nice and not like Chiaki in the dorama at all. I mean he's so funny... Anyway I like both styles. I've become his big fan!!! |

It's very funny so far (only seen four episodes at the moment). I think both the main actors do a really good job. I feel kind of bad for Ueno Juri though. I seems like she gets hit a lot. LOL I know it's all acting but sometimes you wonder about the stunts XD
they used dolls a lot for the punching and flying scenes. There is a whole section on the DVD box in the extras about it. Its like "can you find the doll??" hahahaha |

Oh crazy, I just found out about this. There will be a Nodame Cantabile special that will air for two consecutive nights in January 2008. Apparently it'll be based on the Paris arch in the manga and get this! They'll actually be shooting in Paris.
They'll be shooting in Paris in about three weeks from now and that there will be new characters added in that are not from the manga.
Now I'm excited. Guess there's enough popularity of the series for them to go ahead with this.

i watched it a month ago or so and i totally loved it.
when i found out they're making a special i got sooo happy.
when i thought about the possibility of a second season [eventhough i really really wanna see one] i think it's very little, because in the dorama it ends with a beginning to a new adventure in france. and i think that would be pretty hard to pull off don't you think?
other than that.
i'm so happy that they're making a special ^^. *cannot wait*
the chemistry between ueno juri and tamaki hiroshi is really tight and cute. they look like a couple if you watch some of their tv appearances. |

| I absolutely adore Nodame Cantabile, I first saw the anime version as I downloaded it first from Anime Plus and then I was totally into the live action version - *which I prefer*. I think that Tamaki Hiroshi is simply gorgeous and his character cracks me and I'm currently now smitten totally with Eita who played Ryutaro Mine. Wild child rock and roll turned classic violinist. The ensemble cast is superb, it's what got me really hooked on jodramas of late. I've even been getting my mom to watch episodes of Unfair which have Eita, that I burned on disk. She loves it. |
