| The phone does indeed look very attractive but seems that there are several problems brought along with this cell phone. Personally I find nothing particularly "revolutionary" from this. I'll stick to other more stable cell phone brands for the moment. |

No...i stick with my current SE in the moment.
The design for iPhone nice...but i seen prettier looks kinda bulky to me.
I cant really find anything revolutionary that we wouldn't have seen
already i mean
touchscreen that's and old idea already even some old SE had touchscreens in the past.
And the camera....2mp is the standard already.
And btw Samsung is going to bring a phone in to Korean markets
and maybe to other Asian countries with a 10 megapixel camera in it...
so anyone can make a call Click here for more info about the phone
its called Samsung's SCH-B600,
but probably wont come to European or us markets never.
But now back to iPhone. No 3G?
what the heck a phone with a price tag like that should have support for
it and so on... so as i appreciate what apple did for portable mp3 player
markets with Ipods....
here i really cant imagine that this phone would rock the current cellphone
markets that there is since many other
brands have already more geekier phones,
with much much prettier and smaller looking design phones.
But absolutely i would want try it!!!
and see how the navigation on the menus would work with it, since navigation on the menus for me has to be good and simple. |

i bought one.
i honestly think its worth buying.
i bought it before the price drop and then i sold my $100 apple store credit to a friend for cash
the built in ipod is nice, i don't use the video player anymore cause i'm too damn lazy to convert movies. |

Never judge a phone by it's design
I prefer flip phones though. Looks more japanese-like. |

| I heard that the guy who hacked the network for the phone, sold the phone for a Nissan 350Z. Now THAT is a good deal (for the guy who hacked the phone anyway...dunno who's stupid enough to trade a car for a phone) |

yeah he got a brand new 350z and 3 8gig iphones.
the guy who bought who did the trade was a rich guy, so a 350z to him is like 5 dollars to us, lol. |

| ^ yeah no doubt, otherwise how would he be able to trade a car for a phone? Unless he was some die hard fan of Apple's products |

| I have to agree with rice. There is absolutely nothing about the iPhone that makes it better than the wide range of phones available today. Every phone over $300 will come with a 2mp camera and mp3 functionality. However, Apple pulls off yet another brilliant marketing campaign that makes it seem perfectly reasonable to lay down $600 for *their* product, because it starts off with a lower case "i" . It's up to the general public can look past the dancing silhouettes of Bono and see the shoddy craftsmanship and blatant robbery beneath. |

I may definitely be in the minority here, but I did purchase the iPhone and absolutely love it.
I have been using PDA phones for almost 3 years now, and I've never used anything that even compared to the iPhone. (I've used Windows Mobile devices and different BlackBerry devices, too.) The thing about the iPhone is that the OS is actually pretty stable, (especially versus WM devices), and the aesthetics of the phone could not be more pleasing.
I love every aspect of the phone; my only complaint would be the battery life, as I think it's a bit lacking. HOWEVER, if I do a direct comparison between this and the HTC TyTn that I previously had, the battery life is HANDS DOWN better.
Of course, I have a tendency to get tired of phones, so I'll probably wanna get rid of this once the Google phone comes out or something, hehehe... |

It sounds OK
I mean, if I had the money to waste on it, then yeah, but I don't (plus I would rather use that money for upgrading my PC)
The specs are hardly anything to get hyped about though (well some of them anyway ). A choice between 8 and 16GB? That's not great, especially as it is supposed to be used for video playback as well and I'm sure they will release an updated version within the coming year with larger storage capacities. The connectivity and net access is pretty decent though
It's also the first batch, so they're bound to be buggy
In comparison with other mobile/cell phones? Nah, a phone is a phone - A portable music player another. I don't think I would want both together .
*awaits beatings from Apple lovers*
But saying that, if I had to buy a phone and had the money lying around (yeh - never gonna happen ), then I probably would buy one, but I would certainly wait for a later release...
I'm sure it's pretty cool, but $500-600? Is it really worth it?

| I read that the when watching videos on the iPhone its a real shocker. They compared it to the classic iPod and iPod Touch (I think) and there is a big noticeable difference. I know I won't be buying this, as I already have an iPod Video and a separate mobile phone, also I sometimes loss stuff, so if I change to an iPhone and lose it, thats about 6 things in one lost all at once! |
