@Rodri:
wow, that really is amazing.
in the US, we don't start learning a second language until we're in middle/junior high school (5th or 6th grade) and our foreign language program isn't extremely intense.
luckily for me, i know chinese since i am 100% ancestrally chinese, and i know english since i was born in the US.
i am learning spanish in school and have been learning spanish since 6th grade.
and now i am very slowly learning japanese: mostly romaji so i can learn to pronounce words with a bit of kanji since i know chinese; hiragana is going to take me a long time to get used to |

Anyone have the english for Ticket? All I've caught is "suteki deshou," which means something along the lines of "won't it be wonderful." |

@Rodri:
長い旅のチケット せっかく手に入れたの "I just got a ticket for a long journey"
まばたきの合図で 花 ヒラク "With a flash of a sign, the flower blooms"
ほっぺにつーんとしてビートにわくわく "(My?) Cheek twitches with the tune" (not sure of this one...I didn't know what tsu-n was)
用意して今夜はキラキラ "Preparing things so that tonight will sparkle"
I hope those translations can be of use! |

@ Rodri
Thanks for your hard work on the translation, by the way! It's really cute.

Well, now in the USA most schools don't start you learning a foreign language until high school (9th grade) so probably when you're 14 or 15! I didn't start learning French until last year when I was 14, and before that, I only know English. Also, if you're not planning on going to college after high school, you don't even have to take a foreign language course at all! So there are many people here who go through school and never learn another language. In fact, there are a lot of people who never even learn English properly! |
