@ BrOKzzZ
Yeah, Fall Out Boy is ok. I won tickets to one of their concerts a little while ago, and it was fun. I got a really cool shirt from it too.
@ ling
I know, but it's not just American female artists doing that, unfortunately *cough*Koda Kumi*cough*
@ hiro
Yeah, I use "teacher" but I guess it depends on how old you are, what school you go to, etc.
Oh, Coldplay and The Fray are pretty good, yeah. |

@xiaolingka:
yay, another fan of jack's mannequin.
usually it's only girls that are fans of that band (actually all the music is composed by just one guy from the band Something Corporate), but their lyrics and music really resonate with me.
@BrOKzzZ:
i suppose so, but Queen has a much different sound than most piano rock.
here's Wikipedia's take on Queen's sound and style.
btw, your avatar is one crazy photo of Mike Shinoda, the unofficial leader of and, as i like to call him, the 'glue' of Linkin Park. |

^ Yeah, I won them on some TV contest thing. It was a pretty fun concert, there were fireworks and flames and everything. It sucks that you don't have the opportunity to see them in your country. I hope you can see them someday! |

Wow KerushiiAi, you won tickets to Fall Out Boy! Lucky!
I want to see them live, but the last time they came to Australia, I wasn't much of a fan then, so I didn't go...
But still, none of my friends like Fall Out Boy, they think they are too emo! |

@hiro:
OK, thanks for clearing that up I just thought how American's use a lot of different phrases to the English, so it was kinda weird when I saw "instructors" being used Dunno, just not a way of referring to someone really here
Winning tickets to a concert though! You are damn lucky! I mean, I am not a fan of Fall Out Boy (for the sole fact that I have never listened to them ), but that's still cool! I was relying on winning tickets to Led Zeppelin live, but didn't That's the problem for me - I have little chance of seeing most of the artists I like, as they have either split up or have...died
Ah well, will have to find some way into the show anyway

| Poor Tdclarke, looks like the only way of watching your favourite artists is through DVDs of their performances! |

@ about the FOB tickets
Yeah, it was pretty cool. I'm not a huge fan, but I still knew some of their songs from the radio and stuff. Yeah, I wish I could go to Japan and see a singer that I'll actually know like, all of their songs though, you know? Or, some of them do concerts in California...
Oh man, that reminds me, I was looking up pix of ELLEGARDEN (one of the best bands ever) and I saw that in '06 they had a concert in the city close to where I live! (You had to be 21 to get in...but still!) Too bad I wasn't a fan then...or 21.
But needless to say, it was pretty depressing.
@ Tom
Haha, my brother has the same problem But some of the bands he likes are still around. Like he's going to a Tool concert soon, and he's gone to Smashing Pumpkins and Red Hot Chili Peppers this past year. |

^ Yeah, I watch the artists I like on DVDs or the internet to see their lives, too. Only, they're generally still alive (which makes it more pathetic )
Yeah, it is unlikely to get to see Ai live..but hey, you never know. And if not her, maybe a different Japanese artist? I'd love to see a lot of Japanese artists live. I'm not gonna list them though, because this is the American music thread
Yeah, I think I remember him saying Tool is one of his favorites. Or was? Well, either way, he likes them And my mom wanted to see Smashing Pumpkins, so he went with her. |

| Oh, another British band that comes to my liking is The Hives. Great music, especially the song Throw It On Me with Timbaland! |
