Konishiwa, I am from Holland and through my Chines friend Peng Shun, I came in touch with Hana Yori Dango, when I watched it for the 1st time, I didn`t know what to expect, coz it was all new for me, but, also from that same moment I felt a warm feeling inside as soon i started to feel Makino Tsukushi, what a powerfull person, and I think it is admireable if a person can hold back so much and feel what is real.
I never felt like this before, it even made me wanna move abroad to Asia, maybe to Japan, but to see a person so honnest, it is overwhelming.
since I haven`t succeded in love yet, it gave me courage for the future and made me believe in love again...
thank you so much, for creating this J-Dorama, and casting Inoue Mao, she is just wonderfull..
The song , Planetarium, really does it for me, everythime it starts, it just makes you melt right at the spot, none other song would have beeen more appropiate for these moments in the show...
all the best wishes for anyone who reads this....Arigato

Well, I just like listening to random artists. Since getting a Last.FM account, I have discovered so many new artists it is unbelievable! About half of my top 50 artists would not have existed before Last.FM - It kind of opened my eyes, and enabled me to try new music.
As for Ai, I was just browsing general Asian artists, going through the "similar artists" panel on one page, leading to the next, and the next, etc. I found Ai, and thought I would give her a listen - Sakuranbo was the one that started it all
And now, only about 2 months later, she is my second most listened artist
So yeah - I think it's always good to look out for new artists, as I never would have thought a while ago I would be listening to Japanese pop!

I saw the movie Chakushin Ari ( one missed call) and I was deeply moved by the actress Shibasaki Kou, and I checked her out on Wikipedia, and I also noticed that she was a singer, so I searched for some video on youtube, and I liked what I heard, it was a weird process since I only listened to ber loud hard metal before, and suddenly there was this Japanese pop music. It happened gradually, and I checked out other artist, and I liked Koda Kumi, and joined a forum, and the admin posted a youtube link to CHU - LIP, and I was curious and I took a listen, at first I was, omg, I hadn't heard something like that before, it was a fun song, and slowly I found other Ai songs, and, now I listen to her a lot.
It was first when I heard Amaenbo that I really started liking her. And there was loads of other artist. A friend of the father of my best friend lives in Japan, and he learned that I was interested in Japanese music, so he sent me an album from Bonnie Pink, her every single day, and I just fell in love with Bonnie Pink's songs.. Although I now only listen to Jpop and it annoy my friends that I can't stop talking about it... and there was this time when all of my class watched the CHU-LIP PV during a Norwegian lesson.. I don't know how that happened..but I swear it was not my idea.. >_> |

I randomly bought Hikki's "Exodus" my sophmore year and fell in love. After awhile I wondered what she was doing and searched her up. I came acorss alot of random articles and one specifically caught my attention about her and Koda Kumi. I glanced at the pic and thought "Gee, Kumi is really cute" and decided to just see what she was about. I saw the "Selfish" PV and got sucked into this world of wonderful msuic and entertainment.
Plus ive alwasy been an anime/Japanese culture buff since i was like 5 |

actually the primary reason of my "hookness" to J-Music is dealt by Music Station.. I am so addicted to this show after its telecast in a cable channel here in my country (Philippines - Animax Channel)..
and after that, the rest is history as they say..
but my exposure with japanese culture (including a bit of its Music) started when i was still young because of the Anime boom.. XD
now i am a total J-Music Addict.. There are even more Japanese Music in my HD than local and international music acts to day... XD XD
i so love J-Music ... wahaha
anyways, i forgot to tell.. newbie here, minna..
nice to meet you all >> sorry for being a little off-topic |

-wavewave- Hi everyone! Newbie here. Just wanted to say hi and everything. ^-^
It all started with a little game called Kingdom Hearts. I would always sing the theme song, but I never knew who it was by, so I looked it up and found that it was Utada Hikaru. Started listening to her Japanese works, and I was hooked. |

It started when I got hooked to Anime Series, especially Card Captor Sakura. They have great Opening and Ending Themes. Although I didn't understand a single word, they sound really good. In the past, I don't know any artist yet.
The first artist I encountered is Faye Wong who sang EYES ON ME for FF8. I play RPG games and I really like the song but I never research about her.
Ai-Chin is the only artist that made me research a lot about J-Pop. She really has an amazing voice. After I heard her sing in Tokyo Friends, I became a big fan. |

Well, the first song that really sucked me in to the whole J-Pop thing is probably Utada Hikaru's First Love. I was actually searching for Fushiigi Yuugi videos (I've never actually finished reading the series) and I ended up hearing the song. And putting it on loop.
And then came the research and the endless music-hunting, but everyone knows about that part |

It was in are local lan (at that time I have limited internet, so can`t explore such sings as J-world ), my friend give me a music clip. It was great Ayu “Game”… at first I sink that the all her music like this, but I was greatly surprised when get her album from my friend in Japan…

I heard "Simple and Clean" in a Kingdom Hearts commercial and really liked it so I began getting into Utada Hikaru's music and the rest, as they say, is history |

My first touch to Jpop was when somebody posted a link to Hinoi Team's Night of fire-song at one finnish motorcycle-forum. Then I noticed that hey, this sounds good and got hooked. And because of that I am who I am today. |
