Thank you for posting this up nipponchibi! And I'm glad DJ OZMA is not on that list Laughing

For those of you who aren't familiar with Kouhaku, it is an annual air on New Year's eve. On the show, male artists are put in the white team and female artists in to the red team. The two then compete to see which side can put on a better show as a whole team, kind of like battle of the sexes Giggle For groups like mihimaru GT with mix of male and female artist, they usually assign the team according to the lead singer's gender.
The number you see beside each name indicates the number of times they've been on the show. "初" means it's the artist's first time on the show.

And as always I'll be rooting for the red team! Giggle

why are you guys so worried about DJ OZMA on the NHK? is it because of the Age Age Every Night?
if you're still discussing about that same criticism about topless women dancing while he sings Age Age Every Night, that was fake. The women were not dancing topless, according to DJ OZMA, they were dancing with their shirts SHOWING a PICTURE of a woman's topless body.

anyways...I never seen this show before, so, i guess i will be watching this during my break ^_^

^ True they were wearing nude suits, but that doesn't make it any less wrong. Keep in mind that Kouhaku is a show that's suppose to let family watch and enjoy together on New Year's eve. That's what really got to me about their performance because they forget this is suppose to be a G rated show, not PG 13. It this was done on MTV or even Utaban, it wouldn't had been such a big deal because the target audience is mostly youth.

From what I read NHK said they only approved the swim suits during the dress rehearsal and not the nude suits. True or not, we'll never know. Because NHK may only be saying this because of the general publics negative response.

Yay, Ai-chin is performing at the Kouhaku again!! Giggle I hope she performs PEACH, CHU-LIP,or Chiketto, but I'm expecting that she'll perform Pocket again, which would also be nice. Nod
I'm also glad that C-ute and Berryz Koubou will be performing this year. Boogie

They usually do their most popular song at the time, or their winter song(Mika Nakashima has done "Yuki no Hana" a few times I think...) of the time. She may do Pocket or CHU-LIP I think. I was actually more glad to see WaT on the list that Ai-chin Embarassed they haven't released or done anything together in a while so I'm happy. I just hope their mike doesn't fall this time.

Aw, good for Ai. I'm sure she'll have a blast and do an amazing job.

I just realized how little J-pop I listen to now. Out of the huge list of people I only know about ten and out of those few I only listen to Ai-chin and Ayumi regularly. I wonder what slipped me out of that scene? Probably indie...

Well, every summer I get the urge to listen to J-pop so maybe I'll get back into in July.

Sweet! I've heard about this event a few times, sounds fun! Especially when Ai-chan is in it once again! Boogie

Hey, just a question, is mihimaru GT going to be together, because seeing that Miyako is a boy and Hiroko (sp?) is a girl, are they going to be put together? Confused

EDIT: Fixed. Tongue Typo. Laughing

Seems to me like it is going to be a battle of sexes but that will make the show more interesting i guess. I wonder whether i can watch the performance on Channel-Ai, youtube or similar websites.
