I just made a custom Channel-Ai forum theme based on a combination of the built-in themes, AdInfinitum and PEACH.
To make this, I set my forum theme to AdInfinitum.
Then I swapped out the dark background for a light gray one with a neat gradient done using CSS (no images involved). Then I swapped out the dark backgrounds for all the areas with text for white backgrounds.
I made the default text color white and the headers and links a shade of blue. I chose to make the font Trebuchet MS (a sans-serif font like Arial).
Then I modified the banner, making it grayscale with a subdued blue background.

If you would like to try out my theme, follow the following procedure:
1. Use Firefox.
2. Download the Stylish extension.
3. Set your forum theme to AdInfinitum in the profile settings.
4. Go to the Channel-Ai Custom Blue Theme page and install the theme.
5. Go to or refresh any Channel-Ai forum page to see the blue theme!
If you would like to modify my theme or make your own theme, let me know.
Questions, comments, and any feedback are welcome and encouraged. |

That's really cool, hiro! I'm trying it out now.
At first it was a little demented because I installed it before changing off the PEACH theme But it's fine now.
Nice work. |

^ The only thing I've noticed so far is that when you click a link, it doesn't automatically open in a new tab like it used to. But that's the only negative thing I've noticed so far.
Oh that'd be cool! Well, if I make a banner then I'll let you know. What are the dimensions for the banners? |

^ the link problem is not directly related to my theme.
it's either a change in the settings of your browser, or it could be that the AdInfinitum theme does that.
you choose the dimensions of the banner!
I recommend that the width be exactly 717 pixels so it fills up the width of the space. the height can be whatever you want |

^ Oh yeah, I think eyn just added that for the PEACH / HEART theme. But it's ok, 'cause I usually just right-clicked to open a new tab anyways.
Ok, thanks! But just as an example, so I know where to start, what height did you use? |

^ i used the same height as the original image, because all i did was change the colors of the original banner.
that height is 231 pixels. |

Really nice job, hiro! It must be nice to have your own personal theme that you can use to check up on Ai-chin. I really like the gradient effect that you applied on the background to get the raised effect; that's really slick.
@KerushiiAi
I think it's important to greyscale the banner. It really gives the theme a clean look. Then again you could just make a coloured one and a greyscale version. |

^ Thank you!
That gradient was done without any images.
It took two lines of code in CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), so i'm really proud of it too.
i agree with the grayscale idea.
i'm kinda into grayscale myself right now.
as you can see, my aicon is in grayscale
btw, this is the banner that KerushiiAi decided on:
she certainly loves her bright colors.
i finished her theme.
It can be found here.
it's really bright pink/green-based, which is a bit blinding for me personally, but i hope KerushiiAi likes it |

Haha, yeah I like it so far! Yes, my best friend says I have issues with abusing brushes and bright colors and stuff.
I might do a greyscale one...but I like colors more I think. I might have you change the bright pinky background, hiro, but I'm not sure yet. And I might edit the banner to have a border too, but I dunno yet. |

^ Thank you!
This theme is not available for IE users at the moment, but if eyn comes back and decides that it's good enough to be made an official theme, then it would certainly be available to IE users.
My advice is get Firefox!
There are so many reasons why it is better. |
