| I watch horror movies because I think they are interesting not because I find them scary. I only watch Japanese horror though because I don't like the blood and gore of the American movies. My favorites are Chakushin Ari, Ju-On, Shibuya Kaidan, and Premonition. |

| A Tale of Two Sisters is an amazing film! (Although hardly a horror really - Has horror elements I guess). Other than that I have seen few Asian horror films - Want to see Ringu so badly!!! Does anyone know if The Eye is any good - I have heard in some reviews that it is a really good Japanese horror, but I'm not sure? Any opinions? |

I think mine would be either one of these Stephen King movies: 1408, Rose Red, Desperation
Or Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight. See No Evil, Wrong Turn and House of Wax I love too though. It's so hard to pick an absolute favorite.
eta: Darkness, Darkness Falls, The Amityville Horror, The Exorcist, Saw II, 13 Ghosts. Sorry for so many >< |

| The Grudge was the best! I especially enjoyed the American remakes though, for me it was better than the original! Can't wait for the One Missed Call American remake, gotta see that in the movies, and buy it on DVD! |

for me I do not look forward to the American remake of Chakushin Ari! this movie was the first Japanese movie I ever saw, and Kou Shibasaki is very near to my heart, the fact that they are remaking this movie makes me really angry and frustrated and I am not ever going to watch it! |

Chakushin Ari's my favorite cuz it's just the right amount of scary for me...Ju-on and the Ring are way too scary...after watching the grudge 2 i couldn't sleep for months!!
did anyone hear that an american version of one missed call is coming out january 4th? it doesn't look scary... |

| Yeah I'm looking forward to One Missed Call. Will definately watch it. Also I found out that they changed the trademark freaky ringtone into something that is well... not so freaky... apart from that, this remake looks promising. |

My favorite horror movies are "a tale of two sisters" and "the uninvited". This last one might not be perfect, but I was impressed though.
yesterday I saw "Suicide club". I don't understand it at all. Is there someone who does? |

| I like a lot of the American versions, especially for The Grudge. I hadn't seen a scary movie like that in a while. But my favorite horror movie would have to be...a draw between Misery and The Shining. I blame Stephen King for being so damn brilliant lol |

um.. a lot
I really dislike the American versions of perfectly good Asian movies. makes me cry (not really)
k so my favorite movies in Asia have to be
1) Ju On 1 and 2 (The Grudge 1 and 2) (they're tied )
2) Sutte Kodtid Winyan (Shutter)
3) Sukob (The wedding curse)
4) Long Khong (Art of the Devil 2)
I love crunchyroll for providing all these movies and more |
