hey guys i'm new here just found this great ai otsuka site.
i wanna ask is ai otsuka old band members(charlie, akinori suzuki and etc...) still with her? from her recent live performance at the 49th Nihon Record Taisho and music live station i dont see them. but they are in her 4th anniversary concert.
anyone know anything about this? |

yeah, charlie, akinori, fuji kenji, and the other guitarist are still with her.
some newer members are the bassist kazehiro and the drummer.
the new saxophonist sometimes shows up, like for chu-lip.
they are all pretty cool. 
for most of her live performances on shows, they don't perform with her, but for her own concerts, they do. |

They can't just play at every performance, I don't know why.
It's all just an solo act of Ai-chan too so the people who play the instruments don't matter that much to some people.

i like how all the band members are really into the music when they play.
it really adds to the aura of happiness that one gets from ai's music, especially her live concerts. |

oh great to hear that they are still with her.
i like akinori, who is super crazy plus fuji kenji and charlie. i think last time the old drummer is more cool. |

Yeah, I definitely like the way the band plays Ai's music, it adds a bit of happiness to the music like hiro said.  Hey, most of Ai's live performances, the band is really playing right?  |

@wenming: well, if you watch the beginning of LOVE IS BORN 4th Anniversary, the new drummer is pretty cool too
@carlito: well, if you watch her Music Station, Heyx3, or Music Fair, etc. performances, her official band usually doesn't play, but for her concerts, like LOVE IS BORN and her tours like Ai am BEST and LOOK COOK, etc., her band does play.
her band also plays at a-nation  |

| the only thing that bothers me about her band today specially when in live is the drummer.. Jun Matsumoto is his name if im not mistaken.. i prefer the drummer from her past concerts like LOVE IS COOK and LOVE IS BORN 3rd Anniversary.. that guy is more talented than the drummer at present.. and about the rest they're ok.. specially Charlie.. my favorite hahaha.. |

| Her new drummer is KOUTA, the drummer from JAM/JUDY AND MARY. I love him. He still sings the words to songs when he plays like he did with JAM. |

no thats the old drummer and I also liked him
But we just have to get used to the Matsumoto Jun as drummer |
