Synopsis from Dramawiki
In "Galileo," Fukuyama Masaharu plays a genius physicist and university associate professor, Yukawa Manabu, who solves difficult mysteries. Affectionately known as Tantei Galileo, Yukawa is brilliant, an all-round sportsman, tall and handsome but eccentric. Yukawa's partner is a rookie cop, Utsumi Kaoru played by Shibasaki Kou. She is hot-blooded and has a strong sense of justice.
Galileo is amazing. Utsumi is a feisty female detective who is often flustered by her job, while Yukawa is an amusing eccentric, and although they clash in personality they make a team that has a powerful dynamic. While the characters are interesting, the plot is even more so: the mysteries that come their way are odd, and at a glance, completely unexplainable. By the end of the episode, however, Yukawa is able to use science to figure out an answer to the mystery. Each mystery is unique and will keep you guessing about the outcome until the very end. With fun characters, a riveting plot, and a star-studded cast, it's no surprise Galileo has been garnering amazing viewership ratings in the twentieth percentile ever since its start.

| This is quite an enjoyable dorama to watch. I didn't know that Shibashi Kou could be so pretty cos i didn't really like her in orange days. |

| I really enjoyed this drama! If you like mysterious or physics, it's a must-watch...plus the interaction between Shibasaki Kou's character and Fukuyama Masaharu's character is so much fun to watch =) |

| Galileo is a nice drama. Haven't seen Masaharu Fukuyama for a while now in a drama, I was really looking forward to this drama. I haven't finished this drama yet, but so far it's good. |

depends how you see it
i think if they had a sad ending, that would've been terrible.
although christmas isn't highly celebrated as a religious thing, people do get quite festive in japan with gift giving and such.
i felt that the ending of galileo, whilst quite cliched, was fitting.
it has a hidden truth to it - sometimes things can only be explained or solved when there is an illogical fallacy (eg. intuition). |

watched it.
at first i thought it had a heavy atmosphere, explained all with physic theory. but well, i have to say it's getting interesting, and i got interested in physic after watching this.
when it aired in december (last epi), i watched some of the scenes of the film. i had an exam after the following day, and failed. after that, i decided to watch the whole film.
somehow i remembered the phrases that galileo sensei often said it. 実に非論理的だ。 |
