The previews for this album sound promising. Hope this will be a more mature version of HEART. I love the covers anyway. They are so elegant and feminine  |

So Yuna's new album "Wish" was released yesterday. It dropped on the net a bit earlier than that ...
Has anyone heard the album yet? |

I downloaded it yesterday and have only heard Power of Love which I like and alone again {not to mention the single tracks of course  } |

I honestly though "Power of Love" was another Celine Dion cover. I'm glad it wasn't but not a huge fan of the song. I did end up liking "A Long Walk" "Moon Rabbit" "Alone Again" and "Wish."
A lot of fans are saying this is album is an improvement from her first album. And I can see why they would say that. My problem is the first album was good in that it had great songs from her singles and a few album only tracks that I did like. Where as this album has better art work and had some good album songs (I honestly wasn't a fan of her singles in this album, except for the duet w/ Celine Dion and Unfair).
It's a shame really. Yuna has a fantastic voice and she is backed by Sony, which is a good record company but something is lacking.
Lyrics! Half the time, if someone writes a song for her, they like to throw in English lines and some of them turn out to be VERY cheesy (Urban Mermaid, I need not say more). She needs better songs. It'd be nice if she could write her own songs because I believe that then she'd throw more emotion to some of those songs.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she sings her song with no emotions, I just think that she's capable of doing better.
Many people have said she's kind of like Celine in a way in that it's unlikely she'll write her own songs, only sing the stuff that people write for her. But I think even if she collaborated with song writers more often, tell them what kind of song she'd like to sing or what kind of a story she'd want her songs to portray, it'd help. |

I agree with you sakuraangel Yuna Ito has a great voice and is very talented but if only she had more control over the music she was bringing out (like writing her own lyrics, or expressing the ideas behind the songs) then maybe she could become as big as she deserves to be. Yuna has such a great voice and it's wasted on mediocre songs sometimes I did like of her singles last year but didn't care for Urban Mermaid that much {although the cover was gorgeous still!} I like Yuna alot and have most of her cds, I just feel she could do much better  |

Aww, this thread hasen't seen any action for months.
Well, Yuna will be releasing a new single called "Miss You" on July 30th Pre-orders are available @ CDJ. Haven't checked YA yet.

Thanks for the previews. It's been awhile since Yuna's had anything new. Gate sounds nice <3 but it wont be included on this new single right? 
Anyhow I'm looking forward to the covers. Yuna's covers are usually really nice <3  |

Hmm, well people said that Gate will be the B-side to the new Missing You single, so I'm not sure. I would have thought that Gate would have been the A-side since it has a tie-in. I can't say anything officially though since I have yet to see an official track list for the new single.
I do like Gate though and am happy she's coming out with another ballad. Missing You isn't too bad, it's along the lines of "Alone Again" which was one of the few new songs on her last album that I liked. |

I'm not double posting. It's been several days since anyone has replied to this thread and I have something new to say.
Anyways, I found a performance of Gate on youtube. OMG I'm so happy to see her come out with another power ballad, because I know she's vocally able to pull it off and it's nice to see something as powerful as "Precious." I've been waiting this good from Yuna to come out for a long while. I'm very happy with this song, and hope to see her come out with more songs of this caliber in the future.

I want Gate to be released as a single ;_;
But, Miss You is definitely coming out as a single on September 3rd.
I don't want to post a track list yet because I haven't found anything solid and fully confirmed about yet ...

I'm lovin' the sound of Love Machine Gun (granted that's a odd title ...) I find it quite different than her previous songs, but that's just what I think. I'm undecided about Miss You. I liked it better in the CM, this preview sounds like they slowed it down to be more ballad-like. Normally I like ballads, but I liked what I was hearing from Miss You in the CM so I didn't mind that it was up-tempo. Oh well, so I'll wait till I hear the full song XD |

ahhhh no Gate I really wanted that song to be released Perhaps it will the A side on the next single. It's definately worthy of A side
But until then I guess this will do  Love Machine Gun That's a funny title I'm going to have to check out that preview |

^I like the cover too.
Here website has been updated with "Miss You" playing in the background and semi-new layout (I say semi new because they mostly just changed the pictures to promo pix for "Miss You).
