Ah I've been away for a while. Been busy w/ work/school/getting ready to Toronto.
Anyways, Alan HAS been very busy O.o So it is true that the Chinese EP single was released on June 20 2008. I'm still in shock about that just because everything seems so rushed and it was such short notice. I have yet to see it in YA but I keep checking.
Okay so here's the track list for her Chinese EP:
Quote: 1. Xin Zhan ~RED CLIFF~ (心战~RED CLIFF~)
2. Yi Ge (一个) (Hitotsu's Chinese Ver.)
3. San Sheng Shi, San Sheng Lu (三生石,三生路) (Sakura Modern's Chinese Ver.)
4. Mi Shi De Zhu Fu (迷失的祝福) (Tokyo Mimei's Chinese Ver.)
You can hear the songs on this site (if it's still working by the time you read this)
http://www.lingting.cc/ProductInclude/IncludeSongList.do?id=449040
I can't seem to get it to work in FireFox but it works find on IE. However it doesn't follow the order of track list I posted. If your comp doesn't read Chinese (simplified) characters the order is as follows:
1) Chinese version of Hitotsu
2) Chinese version of Tokyo Mimei
3) Chinese version of Sakura Modern
4) Heart War (Xin Zhan)

Alan's a lot more popular amongst the Chinese internet community group that I had originally though. After having to hunt down her new EP, I came across this forum:
http://alanchina.5d6d.com/bbs.php
My Chinese reading/writing skills aren't that strong, otherwise I'd join up. But I figure I might pass the link along to those that can read/write Chinese.
Xin Zhan (Red Cliff theme) sounds really good. I'm thinking it's my current favorite Alan song but I'm also digging the Chinese version of Hitotsu. I think I like her singing in Chinese just a bit more. Dunno if I'm being biased or if it's because I'm quicker at processing what she's singing, plus I feel that since Mandarin is a dialect she's fluent in, she sings her Chinese songs more naturally (which is only natural).
Her Chinese blog has a new layout ... well somewhat (more like new pictures/different color scheme. I'm not entirely sure if she's making a PV for Xin Zhan or not but according to rumors around the net, there's a good possibility of it.
@octocoffee
Ah, yes it was Lust Caution that I was referring to. I hope I can see that movie eventually. And I can sense from the trailer why it would have that kind of a rating. Hopefully you'll get to see it eventually as well.
The Duke of Mount Deer? The TVB drama? If it's the right one I'm thinking of, I think that was the first time Tony Leung worked with Andy Lau. Unfortunately I can't remember the drama in detail because I probably watch it when I was younger and I can't remember that far back. I remember that drama being well done though. But I can't remember if Tony was funny in that one. When I think of Chinese comedy, the first person that comes to mind is Stephen Chow XD |

Thanks Sakuraangel <3 alan's new single sounds great I love all the tracks, especially Heart War (Xin Zhan) Its really beautiful <3 I agree with you too, Her singing in Chinese sounds more natural and beautiful. I like the way she sings in japanese, but she just sounds better in Chinese And I don't listen to any music in Chinese maybe a few but anyhow I've been checking too for this single. Like I said I'm going to pick up her past singles and try to get this one too. |

Her site has announced the rest of the elements that she will be releasing in the upcoming months.
August = "sky" September = "wind" October = "fire" is the theme, November = "water"
Aren't sky and wind the same thing? O.o |

Wow so the elements thing is real exciting I'm really looking forward to the new singles.
I consider the sky and wind to be the same. So I wonder how they see it being different. The only way I've seen the two used differently is when wind is considered to be air and the sky is considered to be heaven. Although I'm not sure that this is the how they intended it for these element singles. Anyhow thanks for the news sakuraangel |

I dunno whether to be excited or dismayed at this element thing. I want an album that has new material, but when you take all songs into account, she'll be having at least 11 songs from just singles. So that would mean she'd have to work even more...and I really don't want that because an overworked alan would be bad. So...I guess I'll be excited!
Xin Zhan is a gorgeous song. I'm totally in love with it. The whole sound is very epic, which is certainly my style
@sakuraangel
Yush, I was referring to the TVB drama. He plays the main character, and I thought he was hilarious. Stephen Chow is definitely the king of funny though |

| According to several sites, alan has supposedly released a single in Taiwan called Ming Ri Zan Ge, the Chinese version of Ashita e no Sanka. The first time I checked on Wikipedia.org, it said it was going to be released a few days after Xin Zhan, on the 20th. However, now that I check back, it seems to be deleted off that page. Then, on http://alan-world.com, it said it was released. I've searched on the Internet and haven't been able to find a single trace of these songs. I'm kind of wondering which to believe o_o |

@ bluefullmoon I don't think you can trust wikipedia very much since anyone can sign up and edit the information. It would be nice though if there was a Chinese version of Ashita e no Sanka.
Anyhow there's a PV for Xin Zhan ~RED CLIFF~ you can watch it on alan's blog here
Xin Zhan ~RED CLIFF PV
It's mixed with the movie but still nice |

I actually couldn't decide whether I'm allowed to post this on Off Topic downloads, so I decided to post it here. It's alan's Xin Zhan PV for iPod. If I'm posting it in the wrong place, please tell me and I'll remove it... ._.
Borrowing the image, hope you don't mind, sakuraangel...
