I watched HYD week ago and It was first drama that I ever seen. After this I can say only... "Mooooore". From start I was after TsukaxMakino, becouse I wanted Rui for myself. |

Just finished watching the series!! It's awesome! Mao Inoue is so cute
My only complaint would be that the fight scenes were a little....fake. And perhaps not so necessary. I think if they made it a little bit more realistic then it would've been even better but it's already really good...it's now my favourite drama! |

Both seasons were awesome, and although I'm a bit more drawn to Meteor Garden, I loved this series.
The background that Makino provided us with about F4 in both the start of Season 1 and 2 was yummy. I love the fact that Mimasaka Akira's family background was so "suspicious". The times when they were brought up was hilarious (more so in season 2).
I loved how Season 2 ended. Just loved it, and can't wait to see what happens in the movie. |

i think u'll have to wait until the DVD comes out? and the DVD may not come so soon because right now Singapore has just started airing it.
being a super fan of HYD, of course i went to the cinema to watch. the movie storyline is lame! But the feeling and everything just get into you! definitely worth the watch and im glad that Singapore bought the movie. =D |

I just watched the movie and omg, the more I watched, the more I was like "damn, this sucks...". For starters, even though most of the cast is there (sif Tsukasa's sister isn't there!), most don't get much of a notable appearance. The storyline is downright lame and predictable and it seemed like a perfect way to KILL off a great series. The acting was alright I guess...it's been awhile since I watched the drama but I didn't feel the cast was particularly convincing, even if it the movie is supposed to have manga elements in it. In the end, the movie tried to recycle way too many elements of the drama and the feeling you get afterwards is similar to the feeling you get after watching Rush Hour 3.
The highlights? Probably only the cars that appeared in the movie. That's about it. |

I've been watching the two seasons of the drama and the movie this week. It would have taken me less time had I not had to work ... but I need to money for school XD
Anyways, I like it. Still not my favorite as nothing has been able to beat Orange Days ... yet.
i like it though ... it's just so crazy how many different adaptations of this manga there are though ... Taiwan did a series, Mainland China did one, Japan did on and just this year the Korean version came out.
I haven't watched the other adaptations yet (oh yea there was even a movie done back in 1995 in Japan O.O) .,.. I'm attempting to watch the Korean version right now, but I don't think I'll have time till June since my next class starts soon and I have to work on top of that.
Has anyone else seen the different adaptations? Did you prefer this one the most?
For now, I like this version (since I haven't seen the others yet). It can come off cheesy sometimes (thankfully, it's not overly done) but when I compare it with the Korean version, there's just this cute quality to it that makes me like it.
I agree with sljinu, I'm not a fan of the fight scenes as they seem way too fake (especially 7ep in the 1 season).
I strangely liked the movie. I don't love it and I think if people don't watch the first two seasons of HYD ... the movie wouldn't be appealing. The movie starts off with some action-packed stuff to make it clear, it's a movie and not a plain old TV drama anymore and the adventure that they end up on takes them to a lot of places so it doesn't seem like an extended episode either. What I like is that they brought in elements and characteristics of the drama into the movie which I felt added nostalgia to the movie for the fans. It was even great to see Fujiki Naohito in the movie since he played Rui in the 1995 HYD movie ... so it kind of brings everything full circle.
I'm glad they didn't end everything with just the first season, because if it wasn't for the second half of the second season and the movie, I probably wouldn't have supported Makino Tsukushi x Domyoji Tsukasa .... Hanazawa Rui is still my favorite character though XD |

I haven't seen either season, though have read some of the mangas. Bought this today, so shocked that it was in a little indie record store near where I live, had to buy it, think I should watch the 1st two seasons first?
