you guys know what i mean. Topic should mainly target guys and maybe minor amount of girls. |

Hm I guess the topic could be considered slightly inappropriate, but I actually first started listening to Ai cos I saw her in the Oricon list for top 10 most beautiful artists or something along those lines. Point is, I found out of her from her looks, but I continued listening to her because of her music. Probably not the most ideal way to find out about her but I really don't continue listening to a singer simply cos they look hot. Like, I am a genuine fan of the music she has produced. I've tried to find various singers like that too (like Leah Dizon, melody. etc) but it's just about always to no avail. (I normally find singers other ways!  )
I don't think you'd really find that many people on the forum who are here for non-musically related reasons (unless they really loved Tokyo Friends  ). Just about everyone here is a fan of her work, and not just her face.
Edit: I actually started listening to melody. again I guess her music is ok...I can't stand Leah Dizon's music though >.< |

Second I really like Ai-chan because she makes me smile when I look at her and I just fall in love with her

Another reason I love Ai is because of her looks and her funny personality. 
I don't really know if we have to mention the gender but whoot I'm a straight Woman. |

but yeah...this question is like saying "I like to listen to Leah Dizon because she's sexy" (which is half true btw )
but it can't be applied to Ai-chan, I didn't listen to her just because of her cuteness |

| ^Hm, well I listen to Namie Amuro because her songs are really catchy and dancey, the fact that she happens to be sexually provocative in terms of dress sense, choreography AND song lyrics is just something on top of that... It's the music I love most! |

Well I found out about Ai because people were talking about how great her songs are and that her ballads were the best So I checked her out and fell in love
but there have been a few times that I've checked into an artist based solely on the covers of the singles since I found the cover attractive or even nice nod: Like alan's Hitotsu I liked the cover so I checked out the songs on there.
 I'm not sure if gender matters in this either  but I'm a straight female
I'm still thinking if there have been any artists that I looked into just based on their looks? or if that's what caught my attention before I became a fan. Hmmmm not Namie Amuro because I first heard her songs before I even seen her or her PVs. Hmmm Can't think of any except Leah Dizon I guess based off her covers I wanted to know what kind of singer she was Ended up liking a bit of her songs |

mm, i'm a straight guy, and i found out about Ai from a journal entry on deviantART about some good J-Pop songs. one of them was HEART, and i looked up the music video and found it to be a lovely song by a cute singer. her physical beauty definitely made her more appealing, but if the song hadn't been great, i wouldn't have looked up her other songs.
my top ten favorite artists are Ai, Leehom, Coldplay, Utada Hikaru, Clazziquai, Missy Higgins, Mika Nakashima, Nobuo Uematsu, UVERworld, and Jack's Mannequin (whoa, i just realized that i only have one US artist in my top 10 ); so i don't think that i like artists for their looks. however, Ai is certainly very beautiful, and that's always a plus  |

Ai is the cutest woman on earth..haha...but I'm not a fam because of that....I'm a fan because I love her music.
Everytime I try to judge an artist for her looks..it results that her music is terrible ....so I don't listen to artists because they are cute xD
Like sljinu said...maybe there are some fans that like Ai because of her acting in Tokyo Friends... |
