Synopsis
Last Friends tackles issues that afflict the current generation. Michiru's mother has brought a man back to their home and she is bullied at her workplace where she works as a beauty parlour assistant. She starts cohabiting with her boyfriend, a good young man who works at the Child Welfare Division and the only person who can give her emotional support, but ends up the victim of domestic violence and becomes fearful of love. The boyishly charming Ruka was a classmate of Michiru's in junior high school. She has performed brilliantly as a motocross racer and aims to win the national championship, but as the story progresses, a deep worry that she can neither confide in her parents or close friends grows evident. Takeru is a hair and makeup artist acquainted with Ruka. He is a good confidant to females due to his kindness and perceptiveness, and finds himself attracted to Ruka but has a phobia of sex as a result of a past trauma. The three of them become house mates and through their associations with others, gain the capacity to be positive about life. |

^ I still haven't gotten around to watching all of it yet but just this week I have watched the first 2 episodes & It's intense
I think it's fair to say that I don't like Sousuke! I can't see many ppl liking him anyways He's such a creep |

I'm curious, is the SP just a compilation of every episode made? Because I really hate those I'm about to watch the last episode now...the end of the 10th episode gave me great satisfaction and was something I was wishing for ever since the 1st episode |

^ another sousuke enemy huh?
I like him somewhat.... haha
at least, I feel pity for him ;__;
about the SP...there are like, 9 minutes of new material and in between there are a lot of old scenes...it's a little disappointing
but if you want, I can upload the 9 minutes-cut of new stuff with softsubs |

I guess there was a little pity felt for him as well but I can't stand what he did. I think all those abusive people (it's not always the man ) are an absolute disgrace...but I particularly think domestic violence against women is disgusting and cowardly. How could you hit someone you love!?! What goes on in the heads of some people I'll never know
It was also weird how he could care so much for a child but couldn't do the same for his girlfriend. I kept on thinking he was gonna change and become a decent person but maybe that would've been too corny and unrealistic
As for the 9 minutes...I would appreciate that ^^
Oh...and welcome back, Yunchen!! You haven't been on too much recently |

LOL! good one. Sousuke deserves every drop of hate someone could muster up inside. and i DO NOT PITY HIM. there. now i've got that said.
and yes, the special sucked big time. even more than the 1LoT one. 9 minutes, huh... and i thought i was exaggerating when i said there was only 10-15 min of new stuff in it. only thing such recap episodes are good for is if you feel like you wanna rewatch the dorama but don't feel like taking the time to do it. |

^ Haha! After hearing the letter, I actually did feel a bit more sorry for him in the end...what he did is of course saiaku (lol) but considering how he was raised...argh, time to get over it
I didn't like the ending of Last Friends too much either...I'm cool with the very end but the lengths they took to draw out the last episode with all these final events to distress you....and the entire time, I kept on expecting Ruka to die at some point It was so anticlimatic...same too when Michiru was in the hospital.
It was quite a heavy drama, haven't watched something so emotionally intense for awhile lol. I didn't cry or anything but wow, it was exhausting. It was fairly good though...and different to all that I've watched so far Overall...I guess I'd give Last Friends an 8/10. |

^ sorry for making you wait! I uploaded the edited SP
MF: pt 1 || pt 2 || subs
don't expect too much, though...I thought it was lame
I think that, of course, Sousuke's actions were horrible, but one could see that he didn't like it...it did hurt him too, because he couldn't love Michiru the way he wanted to...and I found it simply sad that he wasn't able to stop
the end of ep 10, when he sat there and cried while recognizing that Michiru found happiness without him...it just broke my heart ;__;
anyhow...I'm so glad that Ryo won already two awards for the role of Sousuke! hands down, he so deserved it...I mean, he was my favourite before Last Friends, but seeing him act like THAT just amazed me even more...he seriously has some acting skills
and I can say that because I know that he's not at all like Sousuke normally...I'm also still stunned everytime I see magazine scans for Last Friends (off-shots) and he's grinning...the pics don't fit Sousuke at all
example? (the big letters say something like "in reality, he's a really nice guy" ^^)
honestly...as much as everyone might hate Sousuke, Ryo deserves a lot of respect for having the courage to play the role!
*end of praise*
concerning the ending...I didn't like the last episode that much...not because Sousuke was dead, but it was just too much artificial tension...I also thought that Ruka would die too and then there was that accident...and she didn't even have serious wounds...so that scene was completely useless...they could've just met Michiru in the inn
same with Rumi's birth...
I think that the ending was just a little toooo happy...too "clean" for such an intense drama!
all in all, I enjoyed the series nonetheless...I couldn't wait to see the next episode every week! but there were some parts where everything just stretched endlessly and became too tedious (if that's the right word XD)...so, I'm giving it a 9/10! |

| I just d/led the 9 minutes from the SP. Thanks for that, Yunchen! For some reason I never came about to d/ling it...it was kinda surprising how 9 minutes would be over 150mb in size. I didn't really think it was that lame...it was kinda pointless though. It was basically just tying up the final loose ends and then, that's it. |
