According to fan-net, Ai Otsuka has a new song called "ラブレター"(LOVE LETTER) which will be the NHK TV Broadcast "私の1冊 日本の100冊" Theme song.
From this website, this new broadcast show will start on October 26, 2008.

Wiki of any sort, is the last place I'll trust as an accurate source. Keep in mind that wiki are user run database encyclopedias, meaning anyone who's register can change the info on any pages any time. Having said that, it's possible that who ever edited that at wiki.theppn saw news of this some where and assumed it's official and posted it up there.
If Ai is to release a new album by the end of the year like she usually does, we should hear official words very soon. |

one good thing about wikis is they usually keep a history of who changed what when.
perhaps someone who has already posted on this page might like to comment about this and report on any other sources of this news...? |

Well a member from the other thread about the rumored 5th album from Ai mentioned her next album being called "LOVE LETTER" while having the song being called "ラブレター" featured on it. It really does not make much sense for Ai to do that but i guess patience is the key thing to remember. 
I'm hoping "ラブレター" is more happy and not much of a ballad. If it is a ballad, i hope it's a really good ballad.  |

I hope it's a faster song. If it would be a ballad, it would be the 4th ballad  .
Poketto => One x Time => Kurage, Nagareboshi => LOVE LETTER
I hope for a faster song like "Peach" .
A middle-tempo track would be attractive too! |

LOVE LETTER ~ an album or single seems more likely ? There's still LOVE MUSiC and LOVEのテーマ though...
An album would be great though it seems abit fast... Still stuck in クラゲ、流れ星 LOL

| wow, a new song? thats great news and theme song for the NHK 100years (will get great promotion) im hoping. . Album or single is still great news. Love letters to me sounds more like a Ballad, which i don't mind, but i do kind of miss Ai's upbeat songs, it seems like forever since she's released an up beat. But i love all her Ballads so i guess we'll all just wait and see how the song turns out. |
