thnx for the romaji & translation
I luv this lyric ^^
Quote: now, i'm on a journey toward my dream
I can fly until I reach that faraway star's island...
playing and singing about the dream I tasted
and struggling to reach your side...
This part is really good, it makes me feel like i'm flying, on a journey torward my dream, torward my love star xD |

| I was just listening to this and noticed she uses the word "boku", the masculine version of "I". Isn't that a bit weird? I must say the song has grown on me a lot the past few days though, and the lyrics are very nice. |

for おっきなこの愛を持って it is おおき(な), spelled the same way you wrote it in your romaji. the kanji would then be 大きな.
also, i thought "boku wa ima yume tabi no naka" would be closer to "right now, i'm on a journey inside my dream," is that actually the wrong way to interpret it?
just a couple things i noticed off the bat, i didn't really comb your lyrics for mistakes or anything. at any rate i think you did an amazing job, doing the lyrics and being able to translate all of it. did you have something to work off of, like maybe Otsuka Ai's CD booklet had kanji lyrics you used? |

you're correct about the romaji thing. it's okkina...motte.
the hiragana/kanji line is correct though. It's been soo long (a year?). Anyway, I did go back and check that one line against the printed lyrics in the cd jacket just now and it's correct. I've made many typos before when transcribing stuff so...I wasn't sure.
As for the translation, I'm sure you could translate it your way also. It was just a little bit too literal for me. I had to draw a line between too literal that it doesn't flow well in english vs. not literal enough to capture the essence of the song.
i.e. perhaps I could've used "lost dream" instead of "eaten dream"; it might've made more sense in english but it wouldn't really capture the whole "dream eater" concept. This is not to say that one way is right and one way is wrong but rather just to explain why I did what I did. |
