Right, I uploaded 2 images to photobucket and I tried to use them as my signature and AV
but how does it work? I saved it and the files would not show. is there a waiting or upload time for it to work? just new to this..
oh yeah and I never introduced myself; I'm Koda and I'm a crazy Ai fan and (if you haven't noticed by the name) a Kumi fan too The reason for my location is that I'm from the Philippines (but also part Chinese and Japanese but I can't speak a word of any Chinese language ) I like translating songs into English, for example I've already done H2O and a version of Ame no Tsubu, Waltz -LOVE MUSiC-
hope to be of good use here!! (and if you could answer my question it'd be great ) |

Hey, welcome to the forum!
I think it's recommended that you stick with imageshack to upload images, and it'll depend on your image sizes as well. Also, what type of files are you using? I myself use PNG. Hope I can be of assistance |

Part Chinese part Japanese!?! Wooo! Me too!! People say I'm a weird combo and have been mistaken to be Korean If anything, I look more Chinese than Japanese though.
Anyway, as Octocoffee said, imageshack is the preferred image host since photobucket expires after awhile and people are left with this stupid picture saying something about photobucket
As for uploading avtars and signatures, an avatar can be uploaded directly from your machine if you click on the browse button in your profile. Take note of all the restrictions, they'll apply regardless of whether you link your avatar from another site or not (yes, I learnt that the hard way lol).
For signatures, you'll see that in the space for putting your signature, you have to select the code from the imageshack that is in the form [*url=http://blahblahblah][*img][http://blahblahblah][/img]. Afterwards, you can just delete the url segments so you're left with [*img][http://blahblahblah][/img]. Take note, the capital letters do not matter, it will automatically change to lower case after you submit your profile updates. Also, that asterisk is only there so you can see the code.
Hope that helps, fellow mix! |

I think it did, but it just isn't showing... darn. I followed the restrictions and everything yet it doesn't show up. is it supposed to be like a waiting time?
I must really be making a nuisance of myself sorry |

Howabout you send me your files and I'll have a go and see if it works for me. It could be that there's something playing up with the profile settings again or something. And no, there is no waiting time. It should display immediately after you update your profile.
As for being a nuisance... Nah, your not being one at all lol. It's frustrating when these sorts of things don't work but we're happy to help so feel free to keep asking until you get your ava/sig working. Naturally, if you had one made you'd wanna show it off |
