^ Oh oops. That 'ni' is not supposed to be there. My original transcription doesn't have it either Laughing And looking through my lyrics again, wow I made a lot of typos Confused eg it should've been 'mune' and 'furete' as you pointed out. Also, I forgot to put that 'ni' after 'kyori/kyouri'
However, there are also a few things that we both ended up being victims of Laughing

  • kesa - after re-examining, I'm sure it should be 'kasa' since kesa = this morning
  • sakuru - sakuru = ??? but saguru = searching
  • chirette - should be 'chiratte'

Also, shibama = 'a short while' apparently...I wouldn't have known what that was (nor issoutte) unless my mum told me. Even then, she couldn't get those underlined bits Laughing *sigh* Well, I wont be 100% sure until I see the official lyrics but for now I'll take her word for it

And I have also have a few issues:

  • What would 'madori kondo' mean? I can't really understand it, then again, I can't understand my own interpretation either Surprised
  • Are you sure it's 'suu'? I still hear 'sou' hahaha. Also, I'm not sure how you could use 'suu' in that sentence
  • Copy? Mmm...I still think it's 'koi' but we'll know for sure when the lyrics come out

Thanks for your suggestions though! That 'kyori/kyouri' bit looks like a bit of a beast as I can think up an interpretation for both words that I think would make sense Laughing Also, I hear 'nadete futto mama....' now after seeing your interpretation. That also makes sense now Laughing Thanks again!

@swljinu: heh, well, i didn't really think about how the words would fit in the sentences all the time. like with the 'suu' for example. and the 'nazomete'.

    # kesa - after re-examining, I'm sure it should be 'kasa' since kesa = this morning
    -> hmm... i changed it to that not only because i thought it sounded like kesa, but because i thought "kasa no naka" sounded weird... well, maybe it isn't that weird after all. does "kesa no naka" sound weird? Confused

    # sakuru - sakuru = ??? but saguru = searching
    -> さくる
    1: (Usually written using kana alone) to dig out; to gouge out; to hollow out;
    2: to scoop; to ladle; to bail;
    3: to jerk (one's chin)

    # chirette - should be 'chiratte'
    -> i'm no expert at japanese verbs... but i get a lot more results searching for 散れて than 散らって on google (which i btw can't even write with the Windows IME). chirete, 1 t.

    # What would 'madori kondo' mean? I can't really understand it, then again, I can't understand my own interpretation either Surprised
    -> lol, i thought 間取り (arrangement of rooms) would fit together with 真っ白シーツ (which btw when i think about it should be written either 'sheets' or 'shi-tsu', not some combination, lol). but i guess i misinterpreted it as kind of like... arranging a room, like moving furniture and changing bed sheets and whatnot... ^^; but that's not really what it means, it is? listening to it, there's no way to tell if she sings modori or madori... (though modori is more probable) also, i don't really know what the こんだ you wrote would mean either... that one sounds more like 今度 imo.

    # Are you sure it's 'suu'? I still hear 'sou' hahaha. Also, I'm not sure how you could use 'suu' in that sentence
    -> yeah, as i said.. dun really know, heh. to me it sounds like it, but i guess it could just as well be 'sou'....

    # Copy? Mmm...I still think it's 'koi' but we'll know for sure when the lyrics come out
    -> i guess we will. Smile

    as for the 'shibama', never heard of it before, is it some kind of remade version of 'shibaraku'? listening to it again, yeah, it sounds more like shibama than shimama.

@sljinu and mango:

anata no nioi ni koi shite ----> anata no nioi kobi shite

I hear "modori konda" not konde....but I'm not sure...I'll ask my friend if she understands it.

masshiro sheetsu-----> masshiro shitsu

taiyou mu takai (This one is difficult xD)
anata ni sou neko no you ni chiratte miseru

@mangomalte:

Haha I interpreted 'kasa no naka' as 'underneath the umbrella' which would match then match the previous line of 'ame no naka'

Oh where did you find the definition of 'sakuru'? I normally use popjisyo to find definitions of Japanese words. I know it's not a perfect dictionary but...anyway, it's possible that that one also works actually.

Hehe it doesn't use that kanji for 'chiratte' xD 'chiratte' = 'really brief moment'. I think this one is also slang actually.

Oh yeah, I noticed I made that mistake too. I couldn't be bothered to fix it up but. I see what you mean by 'madori' now but then I'm still at a loss for 'konda'. If it's 'modoroi konda' like I thought, then that means 'returned' but 'returned white sheets'??? I'm not sure how that could possibly fit in the context so I think I'm missing something.

I've never heard of 'shibama' either but my mum said it could be some form of old Japanese. Either way, she's convinced of what it means. I hope she's right Laughing

@rodri:

Ahh, you think it's 'kobi'??? Aiya, so much confusion Confused Laughing Do you think it's 'kobi' the entire way through the song (like, in the chorus as well)? Or just the beginning? Because mangomalte also only mentioned the 'kopi' in the beginning but I find it strange that there'd be an anomaly in the beginning. I can also kinda hear the 'kopi/kobi' that you guys were referring to in the beginning but I don't know what to make of it. Me, being at a loss at what to do (and a lazy b******) would simply attribute it to her pronunciation Laughing

As for 'taiyou mu takai'....I have no idea how you got that Laughing The only thing I can hear is the 'takai' bit hahah. Oh well, I'll take your word for it now haha

heh... wow, this song really is a tough one, isn't it?

@sljinu:
yeah, i understood you meant "under the umbrella".
still really can't get that to chiratte (even though it apparently is a word Tongue), it just sounds like chirete to me... Confused something about scattering like cats. kamo.
@rodri:
heh, yeah it could actually be shitsu instead of shi-tsu... but it's a damn badly placed long note in the song in that case, lol.
and kobishite sounds a lot more probable than kopi- shite... who has ever heard of copying someone's smell? Laughing oh, and sljinu, that about that i only changed it on the first occasion... i'm lazy, lol.
heh, i can hear the "taiyou mu takai", but it sounds strange... sounds more like "tai ou", with a pause before "ou" without the usual connecting with the y.

i guess we'll just have to sit this one out and see the actual lyrics in a couple of weeks. i bet we're all wrong. Laughing

and sljinu, i use jisho.org. Smile they have a really good kanji by radicals section that i use a lot.

and yes, Rokit, link please! Giggle
i think we're getting way too spoiled here with 3 new PVs in no time at all, lol. but i ain't complainin'. Smile

^ Hahaha....I just wrote what i heard...(something like tai/dai you mu.....haha)....I got it because japanese pronunciation of vowels is exactly the same as spanish...maybe it's morte difficult for you because you speak english ( But I don't think so because you speak japanese too...xD)

I think its "kobi shite" through the entire song..
Kobi means like flirting or flattery...so it makes sense with the rest of the song xD

I didn't heard of shibama either...it isn't even on the dictionary... No

and i don't speak as much english as you might think i do, i'm swedish, you know. Tongue
also, kobishite comes from kobiru which means to flatter. Smile

^ I was actually reffering to sljinu Laughing Tongue ...but you posted first Laughing

Now..thinking a bit..the "ta ou mu takai" part could be a word in english....TAIOMU or something like that (I'm not sure if taiomu can be an english word Laughing )

^ Haha I don't speak fluent Japanese, I just studied it and hear it at home all the time. I should've spoken Japanese at home but now it's just so hard to start >.<

Also, I got my mum to to check your ideas and see which ones are so...she'll have another listen tomorrow but for the moment:

  • She's convinced that the word is 'saguru' and not 'sakuru' despite how Otsuka Ai pronounced it. What it would mean is that she's hiding from the hands of her boyfriend that are searching for her ('saguru te' is basically something like the hands that are blindly searching in the dark)
  • She's convinced that it should be 'masshiro sheetsu' and not 'masshiro shitsu' but in the end, I have no idea how either can be translated for the verse
  • I'm 100% sure the word should be 'chiratte' even if you can't find anything on it because 'chiratte miseru' would basically mean 'give you a peek' regarding her cat-nature which I think would make more sense than scattering cats about Laughing

Ok, so that's her judgment. Of course, it's possible that she's wrong but given the context as well, I'm quite convinced too. Oh, and making you listen to Kimi Fechi over and over again was my birthday present for you mangomalte Tongue It was my great pleasure to make you help me on that day Laughing Just kidding hhaha
