---------------------------------------------------Yoo Roo Sii Kuu~ We're BUMP OF CHICKEN---------------------------------------------
Let's begin with some brief introduction of this rocking band.
BUMP OF CHICKEN (バンプ・オブ・チキン Banpu Obu Chikin) is a Japanese rock group from Sakura, Chiba, Japan. Their members are Fujiwara Motoo (Composer/Lyricist/Vocalist/Guitarist), Masukawa Hiroaki (Guitarist), Naoi Yoshifumi (Bassist), and Masu Hideo (Drummer). Up till now they have released 16th Single's and 7 Albums and I believe more are coming up since their latest release (18 June 2008) album which named as "Present from you" is been in weekly oricon chart of place number 2 (Not Bad^-^). Some of their songs are used as anime OST and video games main theme that are happened to be very well-known such as Tales of abyss and One Piece. Meanwhile, since four of them are greatly inspired by The Beatles (which also formed by 4 gentlemen's, is it coincidence!?) Therefore their music always provide more astound, mature and folksy acoustic feeling compared to other J-Rock in Japan. As additional, unlike any rock genre bands in Japan, they doesn't get famous just by outside apperance but instead they music that move their fans to keep supporting them. To sum it up, they just so cool.

Random facts:
- Is right-handed.
- Currently resides in Tokyo.
- Is very, very thin and has admitted that he has terrible posture.
- Is an incredibly talented artist, and a lot of his artwork can be found in Bump's album booklets (e.g. Yggdrasil, The Living Dead).
- Has a monthly column in Backstage Pass magazine called "Fujiki"... in the column, he answers fans' questions, does sketches, talks about his day, etc... it's basically a way for fans to get to know the elusive Fuji-kun a little better.
- Although he has very poor eyesight, he rarely wears glasses.
- Cannot, and does not, eat spicy food.
- Likes to do laundry.
- Hates big crowds of people.
- Cares a great deal about his health... which is kind of ironic, given his borderline-anorexic appearance.
- Rarely watches television or reads magazines.
- His favorite colors are black, white, and navy blue.
- Wants to visit Jupiter.
- Has recently been somewhat obsessed with his red harmonica, which he bought for 300 yen.
- In elementary school, he often disagreed with what the teacher said and had to go to the principal's office/teacher's lounge quite often.
- Has two older sisters, one of whom has a kid. According to some sources, his baby nephew's name is Yoichiro.
- Used to play the trumpet in elementary school.
Guitar: Masukawa Hiroaki
Everybody calls him: Hiro, Hose (band members only; means "thin")
DOB: 1979.12.20
Blood Type: A
Hometown: Sakura, Chiba-ken

Random facts:
- Interestingly enough, he is left-handed.
- Like Fujiwara, he is extremely thin by normal standards.
- Claims that he has bad teeth.
- Is kind of pessimistic and always has a rather negative outlook on things.
- Sometimes suffers from insomnia.
- Is usually pretty quiet during lives and interviews, though in Bump's hidden tracks he is usually one of the loudest and funniest.
- Can do some of Ayaya's dance moves... :ahem: (Matsuura Aya).
- During Bump's adolescent years, he used to let Fujiwara hide his guitar in his bedroom.
Bass: Naoi Yoshifumi

DOB: 1979.10.09
Blood Type: A
Hometown: Sakura, Chiba-ken

Random facts:
- Is right-handed.
- Is the most spontaneous and daring of all the members.
- Has a chef's license!
- Loves photography; you can find some of his work in Bump's CD booklets alongside Fujiwara's artwork (Yggdrasil, Only Lonely Glory).
- Is a HUGE fan of video games.
- Is the most talkative of all the members and usually does most of the talking and moderating during interviews.
- Has (had?) a regular column in "H" magazine called "Comic World"... but there's no idea whether this still running or not.
- At one time liked the American show "Dharma and Greg".
- His parents call him Yoshi.
- Is a regular smoker.
- Used to be a big fan of the band JUDY AND MARY.
- His family owns an izakaya (a Japanese-style, bar-type restaurant) in Bump's hometown of Sakura... this is also the restaurant featured in the PV for "Glorious Revolution".
Drums: Masu Hideo
Everybody calls him: Masu, Hide-chan
DOB: 1979.08.10
Blood Type: A
Hometown: Sakura, Chiba-ken
Likes: Games and beer
Random facts:
- Is right-handed.
- Has good eyesight (as opposed to Fujiwara).
- Does not drink tap/mineral water.
- Doesn't like to write Kanji.
- If you were to credit the founding of the band to one single member, it would be Masu. He was supposedly the one who said to Fujiwara and the others, "Let's start a band.".
- Loves movies.
- Although Fujiwara appears to be the undisputed "leader" figure of the band, it has been said that Masu is actually the leader behind the scenes.

It's been awhile I listen to their songs, they are the first J-Rock I listen to and get so addicted whereas I have to play their songs for at least an hour before get to sleep . Their folksy acoustic style always caught me into lala land and repeating listen for so many times yet never grow tired. Hopefully members of channel-ai who also Japanese songs lover (no matter J-rock or J-pop) willing to have some taste of their songs.... believe me, you won't be disappointed~ It's always takes time to love a singer and appreciate their work... try begin from some of their albums... perhaps orbital period and Present from you.
