Ai will be releasing a re-cut single on the 25th February. It will be an album track on LOVE LETTER, Bye Bye.
It seems the reason for this release is that Bye Bye has scored a major tie in, which is Asahi's new line of low calorie, fruit flavoured light beer.
It will come in a CD+DVD version only, and will be 1365 yen. (tax inc)
The tracklisting is as follows:

1. バイバイ (PV)
A shortened version of the PV has been aired on TV for promotion.
Ai has also performed the song at Music Station two times. At the most reccent performane on 20/2, she wore the same outfit as she is wearing on the cover of the single, except without the hat.

Im a bit surprised when I first saw this single being listed at cdjapan, initially thinking maybe that was a mistake. Obviously, this is the track that was recorded in LOVE LETTER, but what major tie-in did it grab that warrant a re-cut release of this single? 
To be honest, Im not too excited in this, on top of the costly pricing of the 5th anniv DVD, but I think I cant resist getting this either.  |

at 1st would like thanks to lvul8er for telling us this info at the other thread. This is a good news indeed, but bad news is... do Avex really think we all born with golden spoon and can buy all these... Love Is Born 5th anniversary did not meet what I want as the price so expensive as usual... it comes with digipack... isn't it nothing special....footage, again!? Avex should put more effort before earn our money so easly. (I watch other singers concert before... they are more worth the price in term of the stage and lightning provided and etc).
Rokit at the other tread wrote: They see how well her previous DVD sold and are probably trying out the new price. It's all business within the music industry, they really don't care about fan's expense but rather if they can make more profit off them. The only way I see of them fixing their ways if there is a drastic decline in DVD sales.

Now Bye-bye become next single... are they trying to give us double surprise at the same time?...
They fail... same as mon but rather than not too excited I would say "wth".. please give something new...
My LOVE LETTER shipped, hope it give what I expect when it arrive since it been leak out even before the album out and the extra seems nothing...
*all I mentioned above is just my opinion, there's no offense to anyone especially ai-chan 
we can just simply miss the single/album but this will make me felt piss off if I end up doing so just because of money matter. |

| Well this could be good or bad. If they repackage the single well and create a good promotional campaign it will be interesting and some fans might purchase this single. If they're planning to be cheap then they are just aiming to rip off some Ai fans. |

They are always trying to rip fans off, hence the whole limited edition and CD+DVD edition only, but then again it is a re-cut single.
I'll be getting it though. |

I probably won't be buying this single, I love Ai-chin and all but I don't have the money to spend on a re-cut at the moment
I do hope she gets decent sales though, she really needs it |

I probably won't buy it either but making it a limited edition I'm really tempting to buy it  If there's something I like then it's certainly limited editions |

Well, I think "Bye Bye" is a good Song, but not one of her best songs on "LOVE LETTER" . I think songs like "Do * Positive" or "Cream & Spicy" would sale better. And I don't really like re-cut singles. I want a new song by her. I hope avex give us at least 1 or 2 B-Sides  ... |

I'm not too excited for it.
But I'm still going to purchase it.
It's a good song, but I prefer 360 as a re-cut single.
That's just my opinion. |

Hmmm... Interesting... 
Ai hasn't done a re-cut single since Kuroge....
I have high hopes as I prefer the single 680 円 version to 735 円 on LOVE JAM, but am still a bit wary because I am *really* liking the version of バイバイ that we already have.  I'm not sure what direction she'll take it, but hopefully it's a strong difference -- one that warrants a whole new release.
So... CD/DVD only, 'Limited Edition'? Does this mean no First Press...? As in, the release is a First Press unto itself? 
I hope there'll be special packaging for it, if that's the case. |

I wonder why they're re cutting Bye Bye  I don't like the song very much. I also hope there is some nice B-sides. |

Anyone notice the keyword in this song is "Momo no hana" (桃ノ花)
I think this song is indicating her "restarting" point of her music/songwriting career,
as not in compeletly startover again but saying good-bye to her first half and then moving onto a new style, like this album. |
