From when she was little, Nishino learned English from English conversation schools, and went to America twice. She then was interested in various genres of music, including hip-hop, R&B and reggae. On the other hand, she also enjoyed traditional Japanese literature, and started singing Japanese folk songs. Her dream of becoming a singer started from junior high school. When she was 16 her mother secretly sent a demo tape of hers to the Miss Phoenix Audition (ミス・フェニックスオーディション), and she was rated the top singer entrant out of approximately 40,000 applicants. A year later in 2006, she was signed to SME Records.
In 2007 while preparing to be a singer, she was also studying English literature at university. At the time she met Australian duo Nervo, who offered Nishino a song called I Don't Wanna Know for use in her music project. Nishino rewrote the song's lyrics into Japanese herself, and re-titled it I.
In December 2007 her official site opened, and from that time onwards *I* ~Merry Christmas ver.~ was available as a digital download from several Japanese sites, including mora.jp. The original version of the song I Don't Wanna Know was available as a digital download on the American iTunes from New Years' Day onwards. The physical version was released two months later, on the 20th of February.
I just have a feeling that she will be one of the best new artists...someday...
I listened to her debut single "I", it was an "ok" song...
until her 2nd single "Glowly Days" came out....it was possibly the best newcomer song I have ever heard ever since Jyongri's 2006 debut with "Possession".
For those who watch SOUL EATER, you would probably know that the current ending song "Style"...which is her upcoming single.

I've enjoyed her past singles. I think she has a very good voice. A few weeks ago I had "I Don't Wanna Know" stuck in my head  I kept waking up to it even though it wasn't playing anywhere . . . well except in my head  |

The new single is out, it debuted around the mid 20's (i think)...today's ranking dropped to 29.
Does this mean she's being recognized?!?!?
I like this single a lot, but MAKE UP is still my favourite |

I took me a bit to find this thread haha
Anyways, for anyone that is interested. Here's her new PV. I happen to like this song when I heard the preview for it, so I've been waiting for this PV for a while. It's nice to hear the song in full finally, and I'm happy with the outcome.
