The last movie I watched was The End of Evangelion:
I honestly don't think it's fair I do a review on this movie because I'm so biased but I will try my best. The first thing I want to comment on is the animation, this movie is pure eye candy. All of the animation is smooth and is much better compared to the television series. The next thing is the writing, the screenplay for this movie is brilliant. Hideki Anno has this very unique ability to capture and portray everyday human emotions. This movie also really causes you to think about yourself and your own emotions. Probably the only negative thing I have to say about the film is that unless you've seen the entire series you will not be able to understand what's going on in the movie. |

I'll do a quick review.
The Last Movie I saw was: Quantum of Solace.
Being a big fan of 007 and loving the last film in the series Casino Royale, so you could understand my anticipation of another great entry to the James Bond legacy...i was wrong. This film is far cry from it's predaccesser and many before it, but it isn't dirt trash...it's on the borderline between a mediocre and a poor entry in the series. The reason this film isn't that great is because all the elements outside of Bond were probably the worst to be in the whole 007 universe, It has the worst villans, the most boring Bond girl ever, the worst theme song and the worst awful support cast. The film however is not a total disaster due to the brilliance of Daniel Craig who just plays Bond the way he should be represented as a, cold, calculating yet somewhat charming character who puts his mission first before anything else. If I can say one good thing about Olga Kurylenko is that she is one of the most beautiful people you'll ever see.
My rating 5.5/10 |

I watched Bolt because my little brother and cousins wanted to watch it so I had to babysit.
I know most Disney movies are great and this one was no exception. It's got a really intriguing plot where the dog Bolt is the co-star with his owner Penny of a television series and has various superpowers. However, the filming crew intentionally kept Bolt ignorant about the fact that none of it is real which causes him to not realise that he does not have superpowers and is only an ordinary dog.
I'll leave it from there for you guys to watch! The movie is definitely recommended for families to watch. It has anything a Disney movie would have, action, gentle comedy and other stuff. I'd give the movie an 8.5/10!
Guess I'm lucky to have watched it now. In Australia, it comes out next year! |

3 movies
1. The Day Earth Stood Still
I did not watch the trailer for this, the title gave this impression of one those "The Day After Tomorrow" movies..........or it was about some alien/ outer space stuff....Well...it was both. Not meant to be racist or anything....BUT THAT CHILD WAS F***ING ANNOYING. It was like HE was the friggin antagonist. But yeah...the movie was just about a bunch of aliens from Jupiter were watching planet Earth...came down and said "change or gtfo"...then the humans were like "get outta my house foo!" then the aliens replied by taking all living organisms and said "STOP...ITS HAMMER TIME" so they destroyed like half of New York (man that city must be a popular place to screw with)...then Keeanu Reeves went like "tears or gtfo"...so that female scientist went QQ and aliens left Earth with New York screwed up by a bunch of micro-sized bugs and stopped time...leaving the whole movie in a cliffhanger.
Oh by the way, the title only applied to the final 30 seconds of the movie. Despite the so-so / good acting, the storyline sucked, I basically described the whole movie in that.........paragraph...so..yeah
Rating: 1/10
2. Transporter 3
Somewhat similar to the first Transporter, Jason Statham...this time...goes with this hideous Ukranian girl who was emo for the first 20 minutes, then took a pill of ecstasy and went nuts, went into a gas station and chugged a bottle of vodka and basically toyed with Jason Statham's Audi A8 by playing techno and kept talking about food. The difference between #1 and #3...are the girls...and #3 has an environmental friendly father while #1's father likes to kill people. I like the first one the most...that Taiwanese girl WAS HAWT <3
Despite the randomness...I find it quite enjoyable.
Rating: 7/10
3. Quantum of Solace
Basically, it left off where Casio Royale ended. Bond seeks revenge by partnering up with this super hot girl Olga Kurylenko (she did act in a porn movie btw)...the only difference from the usual Bond movies we see...was that Bond got the wrong girl in bed...the Aston Martin DB9 was only used for about 5 minutes...........did i mention about the wrong girl in bed?
But yeah, the current generation of Bond goes back to the good old days...staying away from high tech stuff as much as possible. The action scenes were not too bad, only I kinda find that the antagonist is physically weak and it was quite short...didn't take a good amount of time to actually end. I liked this better than Casino Royale, and what it needed was a better ending...longer film time....and a better sex scene

Yes Man
Just watched it in cinemas yesterday. 'Yes Man' was quite interesting and pretty funny but obviously, since the plot was about him saying yes to every opportunity, very predictable. Either way, for the most part it always ended up with funny results and was quite an enjoyable movie to watch. Fun movie to watch with friends or family (although there are a couple of sexual references too...maybe not for the kids lol). |

The last movie I saw was Valkyrie:
I've got to be honest, I went into this movie not really expecting much, because being a fan of historical dramas I had been very high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised though, and I really enjoyed the movie.
I thought it had very good pacing, it started you off with a battle and although that was really the only scene fully comprised of action, the tension never let go of you. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next, even though I knew the story already. Another thing I would like to mention was the superb acting, very rarely do movies reach me at an emotional level. To this day, a movie has never made me cry, but the ending scene to this movie left me speechless.
My rating: 9/10 |

I last watched Changeling.
It's a plain and yet impactful movie.
The ending was full of twists, you can't expect what's going to happen/what has happened.
The main female lead acts really well, and if im not wrong, she's Angelina Jolie.
Here's a summary of the movie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Changeling_(film)
i highly recommend this! |

I last watched Jenny, Juno, a Korean romantic comedy
It's about a young couple (I think they were 15) who after one careless night realize that they are expectant parents. They decide against an abortion and go ahead and keep the baby. However they don't want their parents to know because they figure that if they know, they might try and kill Jenny's baby in any way possible. But, soon the news breaks out, and it seems that Juno has to suffer more of the blame.
It's a good movie, though plain at some points. It chronicles Juno and Jenny's life as schoolkids and parents on the side. It's a really cute life, I would definitely recommend it 9.5/10 |

@nonchalant: Hey, that's the last movie I watched too! It felt a little dragged on at the end but I still really liked the movie. It was a bit like Lord of the Rings for me...I can't see myself watching it again for a long time but I know I really enjoyed it.
The other ones I recently watched were Gran Torino and Seven Pounds. Gran Torino was pretty good as well. The trailer pretty much sums up what you can expect in the movie so I don't really know what else to say. Howabout sljinu recommends it??
Can't say the same for Seven Pounds though. I swear, it felt like the most random movie ever. You watch it and if you don't know what's coming, you won't understand a thing until the last 10 minutes or so. Will Smith was the only reason I continued watching it to the end and at least I now know the movie actually did have a plot (albeit a small one). I much prefer The Pursuit of Happyness and would watch that over Seven Pounds any day.
@furitsuke: Hehe Jim Carrey's character was so stupid |
