Hey guys, I require your assistance please.
My brother has been excessively bugging me about Halo 2 on Vista (which he shouldn't even be playing) and I have some problems with running it.
There is a file called mf.dll and I am supposed to copy it over the existing file in system32. After it asks to copy and replace, it asks that it needs administrator permission to do this. Keep in mind, that my brother's account is the administrator. However, it tells me access is denied and I am unable to copy the file. Can anyone please help me with this?
I will go into further detail if needed. Thank you so much! |

| ^Did you try to copy it on your brother's account?...you need to do it from the Administrator account or it won't let you copy it.. |

Actually, I have one more query, when my brother signs in on Halo and uses my email account, it doesn't allow him to play multiplayer because the product key has 'exceeded the limit'. Can anyone please help me on that too?
Much appreciated if you can because my brother has been giving me a heck of a hard time in the past 2 weeks. |

Hmm, I'm not too sure, I think it involves using a different product key? I'm not sure. I will research about this. It'd be much appreciated if you guys can try and help me out too. I'd be grateful. |

Quote: Unable to Activate: According to our records, you have exceeded the number of times you can activate this product with the Product key you have entered. If you believe you have received this message in error, please choose the activate by telephone option below to contact a customer service representative. Is that the error you are getting? or is it different?
I think it is a contact Microsoft issue ... |

Yep, that is it, it's just a bit more simplified and the message shows within the game. Contact Microsoft issue??? I'm not sure if it's good idea though because ummm, errr, you probably got the idea now.. |

Are you sure the game is not pirated?
You can always try multiplayer by using Hamachi |

It might be, it's this rip by this dopeman dude. Could you please elaborate on this Hamachi thing? |

then it's pirated.
As for Hamachi, try to follow this case here...neither of us are sure if it works because i never tried playing Halo 2 with Hamachi.
