I recently brought out the Love Cook Tour DVD and watched set of "Haneari Tamago, Neko ni Huusen and Love Music."
That performance of Neko ni Fuusen still makes me shiver in amazement. The range of emotion that she displays as she sings it. I must have watched that 50+ times overe the past few years and it never gets old for me in the least.
I think there are many who agree and have stated that it is her live performances that make her music. There are few of her songs that I can listen to without an image of her live performance of it.
For me a few more of my favoirtes are:
Happy Days (Ai am Best Tour)
Frienger (Love Piece Tour)
Kurumiuta (Love is Born 4th)
Not at all a full list, but I gotta get back to work. To me Love Cook Tour Neko ni Fuusen is her best of all. |

Great thread, I've mentioned this before plenty of times, but my absolute favourite segment from Ai-chan is the BABASHI / Katamoi dial / frienger / pon-pon / happy days and sakuranbo segment in the Ai am BEST concert. The total energy and excitement she produces in this performance is astounding and you can just feel it reverberating throughout the whole audience. Despite the apparent total chaos that she produces, the whole set is extremely well choreographed and whether it be by pure instict or an extremely well executed plan you can always feel the presence of Ai on stage and know she is in control. I am truly in awe of her.
I have plenty of other favourites as well ... I'll add some more later |

| For me, it's Kurage, Nagareboshi from the Love Is Born 5th Anniversary tour. It's one time when the live version has SO much more emotion than the studio version. Absolutely beautiful! |

I strongly strongly agree with this choice, even if it is my favorite song of hers. I just loved how she added in more emphasis on the strings in the more 'orchestra' version of Kumuriuta. The video's here for anyone who hasn't seen it. But wow. I really love the strength and emotion she puts in that one performance and the added chorus at the end with the violins blasting. |
