| i don't hate them, they are just kinda annoying sometimes, like when Ai is singing more emotionally powerful songs like LOVE MUSIC. |

I haven't watch her recent concert yet, but I know which guy dancer you're talking about. I don't hate the dancers either. In fact, I think the dance for CHU-LIP is kind of interesting and entertaining. I mean, the song is suppose to be catchy and has this "crack" feel to it, so I think they're just trying to make the performance more lively and fun to watch. However, their costumes/outfits for the song is rather funky and weird. |

I thought the Chu-lip video and dancers were funny the first few times, but it has definitely gotten old and boring. I wouldn't say I "hate" them, but I also wouldn't miss them if they never did that tired routine again.
I was actually thinking of it from the other point of view recently -- I wonder if that dude ever gets tired of dressing up like an ugly woman!
Anyway, I've always been a fan of Ai's silly side, but I couldn't help feeling that the silliness in Chu-lip is kind of scripted and forced, not the same natural silliness as we see in Pon Pon. I'm sure it's hard to keep it "natural" when you have become a famous (and most importantly, profitable) asset of a big corporation, and the bottom line for Avex is to keep the dollars (well...¥en) rolling in, but I hope Ai will be able to hold off the corporate pressure and always be herself. |

OK... I'm a non-Asian Australian who's exposure to Japanese music/culture is quite limited. The first exposure to Ai Otsuka that I had was the Chu-Lip PV... I was in stitches. The whole song+video package is totally bent. I wanted some of whatever Ai & co were having.
Erm... how to make this a sensible and contextual post... let me put it this way: you will never see Kylie Minogue or any of the assembly-line blonde things out of the USA front up with a dance troupe such as Ai has assembled. From where I sit, there's nothing else quite like them working with a act of Ai's level. If anyone can tell me of equally "out there" stage performers, please let me know!
They're almost a breath of fresh air for me. |

I don't hate the CHU-LIP dancers at all. I think that the transvestite guy is very funny, and fun to watch. |

well... the first time I saw the PV, I was a little dissapointed by the dancers too ( ̄_ ̄ ) but the fact is that I enjoyed to see Otsuka dancing so much that I usually forgot them. I don't hate them at all, I find them really funny, and to be honest, Chu-lip without those dancers would not be Chu-lip ^^; they make the ambiance |

I don't hate them, they're funny side of Ai-chin ^^-
In fact, if CHU-LIP doesn't have them, it's not Ai's CHU-LIP. |

| I wouldn't go as far as to say that I "hate" the chu-lip dancers. I think they're more disturbing then anything else. I know that Ai-chin is about the randomness but she really didn't seem to fit in with that crowd. Let's just say that I really wasn't at ease the first time I watched that video. |
